Why you leave steemit ?
When we posted our first blog post, we gave from 0.2 upto 1.5 SBD for a resteem and 0.05 for each referral. We had many people joining in that program. Looking back into that post we had many Nepali steemians who used to post consistently but now they have left. Their last blog post was about a month ago.
They are quitting steemit just because they are not earning much or there may be other reasons too. If there reason is different then it is good but if they are just quitting steemit just because they are not earning much then they will surely regret in the future very soon.
It is because as the platform matures the amount of Steempower you get will decrease massively. Then being a blogger or a poster here will be highly difficult because your reputation will not be much high, you won't be able to curate post much and you won't be well recognized by people.
If you think why this platform will grow then there are way to much of reason. We have listed some of it for you !
Money
Money is what will make this platform grow. Youtube is big because it pays it's users. No one will be making a video, working days and night just to get views only. Either they want popularity (which will make them money) or to make money directly. Similarly today people are blogging on blogger or wordpress (most of them) and they are dependent on the money that adsense gives you and usually that is nowhere comparable to steemit.
Freedom
Facebook take you some money to boost your post, Youtube sometimes demonetize your content and that is a lot of pain. It may seem to be small for those of you who aren't the victim but it is a really huge pain. Although steemit has it's regulating body like steemcleaner but you are most of the time free. At least more free than all though centralized social media.
Easy payment
The payment process is way to much easy than other social medias. For facebook giveaway, the owner of the giveaway have to face a lot of problem just to give. It is a real pain. Steemit makes it a lot more easy. The transaction of money is too fast, faster than most of the cryptocurrency out there.
Why is the growth of steemit slow ?
It's because of pessimistic people who think steemit won't be able to pay to it's users forever and it is a scam. But what they don't realize is that the website itself doesn't pay to it's user. They know very less to nothing about blockchain and how the reward pool works.
Steemit is still unknown to many people because blockchain technology is still not in the mainstream. Almost no one in the developing world knows about this and people even fear of government interfering steemit.
So we suggest you not to quit steemit, be consistent and try to make good quality post !

You make solid points for the argument of remaining in steemit for the long run! People see the trending page and they think they can make easy money quickly with shit posting! While I do want more people on Steem to contribute and curate I do think the platform will always have a cycle of people who give up after a month or 2 with no returns! Especially those who don’t post quality content
As the network grows in value it will only become more competitive so it’s good to get in now and create a solid base within the community and worry less about pay outs
Yes for now your publicity and community is more important than money, which is understood by very few. They are the people people who now regret not joining Youtube 9 years ago and when they now have opportunity, they will miss this too.
