Voting bots, how does this work?

Hey there steemians!

I have just begun to learn a little about voting bots.
From my reading it seems like you send SBD or STEEM to these voting bots, and they upvote your post.

If I understand this properly, steem bots serve to increase your visibility and increase the worth of your posts.

Most of the bots have a minimum value of payment that you send to their account, and in return they use their voting value to give you a return on investment grater than the amount sent.

In essence they leverage their reputation and your payment to boost your payout and reputation.

I am still learning about this process and would love some feedback about which bots are widely used, and which ones are generally shunned.

Also if you have any feedback about whether vote buying or vote bidding is more effective and how they are different.

I am going to be watching some youtube videos about vote bidding, and doing some research on this subject, still, if you know something you think is important on this topic please share in the replies.

Steemit has so many layers to explore and understand, it's a learning experience, unlike other social media websites where the user is able to skate by without understanding the platform or participating, steemit encourages users to participate and create genuinely valuable posts.
