RE: THE EXPERIMENT IS A SUCCESS - I'M MAKING MORE WITH LESS !!!
The value of content is not only defined by its monetary outcome. It´s a side effect.
Since you are an established content creator here on steemit with an admirable reputation (congrats to that btw), you have some bots - or at least blind voters - following you: 100 votes / 13 views for this post so far. Others would surely be pleased to have them.
Thanks to the current (new) distribution of rewards, minnow and dolphin votes do have more impact. Yes the implementation of the experiment wasn´t well done and steemit doesn´t look good (especially from the outside) being full of flagged posts. However steem price is considerably increasing, which means that the experiment doesn´t have a negative influence on the performance - or at least that it´s not negative enough to equalize other positive effects.
Regardless of the image problem - and I think this is unquestionable - their final goal is achieved and the power has been distributed more fairly amoung the participants. Muting whale votes by flags can´t be a long term solution - I bet even @smooth and @abit would agree on that. However, it was a brilliant way to open our eyes. Delegation of power is one of the key ideas of the ideology of decentralization. It´s the first time this is effectively happening on steemit. So yes, I don´t like flagging either. But the result is worth being considered.
Now, if you deduce from this situation, that you should lower the quality of your content, then of course you can do that. The question is: do you really feel comfortable doing it? Is that fulfilling?
Sorry for the long text. I´ll have a Piña Colada now :)
Steem on!
This is indeed the reason shit post are getting upvoted still, when his followers become active and see this they will drop support. There are a lot of inactive users on steemit due to the lack of influence, now that it's back expect your followers to pay more attention.
This is a long term project here. I just don´t get why most people don´t have a minimum of patience. But hey, everybody is free to do whatever he or she thinks is best :) Some are into drama, others not. Happy weekend!
