With more users on Steemit price of SBD will go up for sure. I think that number of 334k users is wrong.I have read that January 2018 was best month ever and that now there is more than 500k users. Thees numbers are still very low and I am sure that Steemit will have more than 100M users in future. Whith 100M users SBD price will be much higher...
Yeah and the rate of growth will increase as friends bring more friends (network effect). but 500k users is extremely good growth if it was just 330k a month or so ago. Do you remember where you read this?
I wonder if it would make more sense to just convert SBD into STEEM and power up immediately. The price of STEEM tends to follow the price of SBD and powering up helps you earn rewards on the platform. Earning rewards may become more difficult as the number of users increases.
You are right. Only thing is that then you can not use your steem if you want to withdraw it immediately otherwise powering up is the best thing.
That way you are supporting the platform and other users and in return community supports you.
It is my opinion that Digibyte is one of the best crypto currencies and will make a lot of people wealthy as the adoption rate of Bitcoin grows. I'm not going to bore you with a technical analysis of the project, but rather provide my theory as to what the catalyst will be that makes the price of this coin rise in value.
The Digibyte team are geniuses from a technical standpoint. I'm sure if you are reading this you are already aware of the superior asset Digibyte is to other cryptos. The problem lies in marketing. With the adoption rate of the most popular crypto Bitcoin under 2% it is no surprise that very few people know of Digibyte and their nerdy crew. But no worries because Bitcoin is going to save the day.
As the masses become more familiar with Bitcoin and merchants attempt to implement it as a payment choice the faults of Bitcoin will become known on the big stage. I can see the morning news now talking of 10 minute wait times at Starbucks for a Bitcoin confirmation to clear. There will be a desperate search for a faster more secure payment method in the crypto space. And there with their big dicks swinging in the air will be Digibyte to the rescue. It is simply the natural progression of any new technology. Bitcoin is like Motorola and Nokia, but Digibyte will be Apple and Samsung.
I have to give it to you, your very optimistic and biased. Don't let your emotions dictate your investments. Because Digibyte is a drop in the bucket with over 2,000 other coins. But I agree that as more people begin to understand the technology behind blockchain, the price of all coins will go up. All I know is that if Bitcoin doesn't implement the Lighting Solution, or SegWit ; Starbucks won't accept it.
I love steemit and am starting to get hooked on it... I really want to start writing content on many different subjects and also would love to make some videos on places where I live so that people that are thinking to visit Australia will see what the south coast of Australia has to offer.. Something I can put on Dtube ,

All of us are happy now because of the very good performance of SBD. Currently, bittrex don't accept new applicant. I hope they will accept new user soon.

yes i bought in at $5 myself im sure as money comes back to market some will make its way to steem and drive up the price soon !
Bittrex may open new users very soon which could really help STEEM and other alts.
