He obviously gets a lot of things wrong here, but he does bring up a good point about no vendors excepting Steem as a payment. If there are some list them in the comments. As Steemit develops having vendors willing to take Steem for products will be crucial for its survival. Having to trade out for bitcoin could lead to issues in the long run if more buyers don't start coming in.
