What happened over the weekend, Steemit?

Am I losing my mind, or did Steem go down in value by a fair bit? I was off the grid for the weekend so I'm not sure what happened, but I remember going away and being just shy of a 2:1 ratio and now we're sitting just over parity.

I'm just curious, what's the deal?
