It is amazing how few doctors are recommending holistic approaches for the treatment of depression, that said there is a widely growing movement of MDs and GPs recommending Loving Kindness and Mindfulness Meditation. There is also a burgeoning amount of evidence coming through from various clinical studies regarding the many benefits of meditation. All of which could do with coming through a little quicker, that said the information is there for those who desire it, and starting to meditate can be done with ease without the need for a prescription. Good luck with your site, I know it can benefit a huge number of people!
I appreciate your comments Stephen. I actually came out of depression through yoga and meditation. I got rid of the drinking, smoking habit and hit the gym 2-3 times a week. Now I now if I took anti - depressants, I would have been hooked on them and not live life I was meant to live.
