Steemnation #3 - Enter The First Ever Steem Lottery

Get rich with one upvote! Steemnation is giving away all the Steem Dollars that are in this account on Friday August 19, 2016 at 5:00pm local time in Saskatoon. We will not withdraw anything during this time, so however many Steem Dollars get voted in between now and then, one lucky person will receive. We are doing this as a creative new way to promote our show.

How to enter:

1. Upvote this video by clicking the up arrow at the bottom of this post beside the dollar amount.
2. “Follow” the Steemnation account by clicking the drop down arrow beside our name at the top of the page, under the title of this post, and click the follow button.

We want to build our brand and support this community. Steemnation is a weekly show that spotlights our favourite posts from steemit.com. Every content creator on Steem is chasing upvotes and some people are succeeding, we are not. So we came up with this idea to at least get our name out there. We want to be able to reward the posts we highlight by giving them upvotes and we want to reward the people who leave comments and interact on our videos. This lottery promotion will help us do that by giving us more Steem Power. It’s a win-win situation where we get brand awareness and Steem Power and the lottery winner gets Steem Dollars.

On August 15th at 5:00pm local time in Saskatoon, we will refresh and print off all the upvotes and then type them into a random name picker and film the name it chooses. Using steemstats.com, we will verify that the chosen name has upvoted this post and are also following the Steemnation account . If they did not do both of these, they are not the winner and a new name will be drawn. We will post the video verifying the results.

We support the mandate of this platform to upvote great content that you enjoy. So we hope this lottery is not seen as a misuse of the system. Please see it as a creative technique using the strength of the platform. It is early in the development of this grand experiment and we want to play a big role in steem’s evolution. We want to be the first internally grown success story of steemit and we hope this promotional idea will help us get there.
