Youtube Sends Out Letter Of Death To Users So Let's Get Them on Dtube
Yep it finally happened and it couldn't have happened at a more opportune time for those of us working on marketing for the Steemit Platform.
If you have been a Steemit member for awhile you already understand the benefits of decentralized Social Media but in short the idea is to stop making Facebook and Google shareholders rich while we get nothing for our content.
Well apparently Youtube agrees with us! Check out the email they sent out to their undesirable content creators last week.
Youtube Kiss Of Death
So the above email equates to nothing more than a kiss of death from youtube to the content creators they no longer want. To sum up the new FAQ section is basically to say that we don't want to continue paying you next to nothing if you don't have enough subscribers and your videos don't log enough airtime. If you meet our new Standards we will be happy to continue robbing you of your intellectual property.
This is the point we Steemians have known for quite a while but it looks like Youtube has come right out and said it.
The Youtube Opportunity?
Remember, what we do here at Steemmarketing is community outreach and youtubers can be tough. They have been trained to create content for pennies and be happy with the fact they are "Youtubers" They wear it like a badge of honor. Well, we know better and it is our job to show them how being a Dtuber is a better badge and worth a lot more money.
If you follow any youtubers, big or small, reach out and let them know about Dtube and Steemit. We have done this quite a bit and it works. You may have some hurdles to jump over because they are so used to Youtube but if they received the Letter of Death, then they are wondering what they'll do with their old content and how they are going to monetize in the future.
Youtubers need us now more than ever. So remember what we always say:
Return on Community > Return on Investment (ROC>ROI)
Dtube dtube dtube the moment people get to know how dtube works they will k
Never what to use youtube. There is more money on dtube than it is any where less in the world that is why i keep doing dtube becouse is tube is going to be very big.
Yep! I got this same letter for my YouTube channel. I actually made the switch to Steemit/DTube about a month ago and have been slowly uploading all my old videos in chronological order. I’ve never been more proud of myself for being a digital pack rat and saving all my old videos to an external hard drive hahaha.
Funny thing is, even though it’s been a slow start on Steemit/DTube, I’ve already made more in a month on here than I have in the year and a half I’ve been on YouTube.
I got the letter too. I laughed. Don't they realiize they are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this? There's no foresight involved. I keep on having this feeling like we are only a couple months away from mass adoption of Steemit and Dtube, dlive, etc... but when the market keeps going down I feel like people wont be interested in platforms that run on crypto, without upward movement in the market. I guess I could just look at it optimistically and find the silver lining, if adoption takes longer than I hoped, I will have had more time to accumulate Steem at lower prices.
I got this notice too, but luckily wasn't too heavily invested in the platform. This pretty much crushes new upstarts from even trying which is a loss of potentially brilliant new content creators that just haven't had a chance to bloom. This is what is going to shift the power back to content creators though, so it all works out. They are signing their own death note in the long run, not yours or mine.

Nice post. I myself need to know better about Dtube. I just became a follower. I found you guys from this post here: https://busy.org/@steemmarketing/steemit-to-bot-or-not-to-bot
since I've been trying to understand the bidbot economy (and actually wrote an article about that: https://steemit.com/mindset/@borges.barilla/are-you-struggling-to-understand-bidbots-and-how-to-use-them )
As you see, your post just solve most of my misunderstandings about bidbots. Thanks a lot!
