Introducing Myself – this account at least.

Who am I?

What am I doing here?

What drives my motives?

What are my ambitions regarding STEEMIT?

Me? I’m ‘just another writer’ giving it a good go here on STEEMIT. I’m not alone, I’m not the only one, I know that.

What am I doing here? What the HELL am I doing here? Ah, that’s quite easy. I’m trying to make STEEMIT work – no, really, I am. I would love to see this platform ‘up there’ with the other massive social media sites. I would also like to see good writers benefiting from the interaction of STEEMIT participants.

I set up my own business as an Editor, and as I’ve mentioned before, I have helped a number of people get their books polished and perfected and finally published. I helped at least one student gain higher marks for his dissertation than he was previously used to, so I guess I can say I’m good at what I do.

What drives my motives? – Well, I can say with absolute certainty that it’s not money. Yeah, money is good in this world, most of us don’t have the skills to get by without any money at all – and believe me, getting by in this world without ANY money is a great skill – but it isn’t my god. I don’t worship at the shrine of the almighty dollar (STEEM or otherwise).

As I said, money doesn’t drive my motives. We get by and manage and that’s fine. I like to think if a couple of million dropped in my lap, it wouldn’t change me – and I’m willing to participate in an experiment to prove/disprove my theories if anyone is up for dropping a large sum of cash into my lap…

My motives are not entirely pure – I’m not naïve enough to believe that, and neither are you. However, I would like to finish next year with the satisfaction that I helped people, and here’s where you guys come in…

My ambitions regarding STEEMIT are to help people with their writing. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been asked to judge writing competitions before now and when I agreed, I also offered to edit every entry. Lucky for me, the entries weren’t in their thousands.

Having said that, if they had been in their thousands, I would have done exactly what I offered – to edit and direct young/new writers in at least that one story.

I like to think I helped and they saw the advice as valuable, but who knows?

So, my mission.

I am offering to edit posts for STEEMIT writers. I’m not sure how to work it initially and so the methodology needs to be fluid and adaptable to begin with – it needs to work for both parties.

I attended SteemFest in November and spoke to @ned and @svk, and @kevinwong on separate occasions about this project – whether they remember the conversations or not, I’m not sure – there was a bit of alcohol available on a few occasions (so I’m told)…

One writer/post per day? One client and their posts per week? A number of on-going relationships (purely professional of course)? Word count limit? – Maybe one or any of those.

We can decide how it works best in individual circumstances, later.

My time is limited of course but if you think we can work together, please feel free to email me:

[email protected]

For clarification:

I am NOT asking for any payment – of any kind - for my editing services. Eventually I would like to help more people on Steemit and this project has massive potential. Having said that, if clients feel I have done a good job, a donation would always be welcome, as would donations from other sources.

I did mention to @ned and @svk that I would be willing to keep this account out in the open - transparent and above-board. Therefore, as an additional assurance that this account will NEVER be used to gain Steem/SBD and then Power Down, I am willing to share the keys with an advocate of @ned’s choice.

As another assurance, any rewards made on this account will STAY in this account, be that from blog post reward, accumulation, or the market. I already have an account that I use regularly. This one is for the benefit of STEEMIT and the STEEMIT community.

This is a great project @steemitwrite, it will help people like me who are not good in writing. I would like to learn on how to express myself well in writing.

I believe that everytime a person writes, he also gain knowledge and that's what I wanted to have.

I am a very simple person and has a limited words when it comes to face to face conversation. That is why I wanted to learn and improve my writing skills so that I can deeply express myself.

That is the exact reason I started editing - not just on here, on Steemit, but right at the start. I seem to be able to see things that the author can't and I put my critique in a way that encourages rather than criticises (I hope).

I think I will learn a lot of things from you with regards to writing.

I also would love to see steemit as the massive social media sites all around the world....

We're all on the same lines I think.

Followed. :)

Thank you.

I follow back too.

This is an awesome initiative. One that greatly raises the potential of community growth. Now, how to make it so, anyone at anytime can easily find this great service!

I need about a billion dollars (SBD is good too) and I can clone myself. Obviously, the machine will take time, so once I get the billion dollars, you'll have to be patient...

Or, I can help one person at a time and hope they improve and help others :)

haha... just wouldn't want this to get lost in a day a so! :)
