The Reason Why Debates Never End In Steemit: ARGUMENTUM AD HOMINEM
Hello Everyone , I proudly can say that I completed my second month in Steemit. Recently I was hanging out in dark side of Steemit where Trolls thrash talks and spread their stupidity all to platform and piss off the whales. I noticed that there is a constant loop going on in the arguments and most of the time people never reach to a conclusion.

ARGUMENTUM AD HOMINEM
Ad Hominem is a Latin word that means “against the man.” As you can understand from the meaning , This is a term that involves attacking to the person himself instead of his / her argument. To be honest we are all doing this but in Steemit I noticed that people get votes because of their character instead of the arguments most of the time.
There are cases in which, whether knowing or without knowing , people start to question other ones past jobs or assosications instead of checking the argument he presents . These kind of arguments may seen like personal insults , But it has a weird nature of his own and I don't think they are just personal insults without meaning.
Eventually arguers start to thrash talk to each other to draw the attention of the audience Instead of discussing the recent argument or proposal. You can see this thing a lot in politics. Eventually because of this Ad hominem affect the arguments turn in to loops. Let me show you some examples from Steemit.
Notorious Troll and Unresaonble Person @Noganoo is A great Example
Sorry for spreading this ebola virus even further but , I needed to give this example to proove my point. As you can see in this one @Noganoo was explaining why he is going to flag some of the people with his Shady Botnet . Obviously if you read all the reasons there is nothing . All the people made something to this guy therefore he won't accept any criticism and try to blame you for imaginary things you did in the past. @Donkeypong Leader of evil Cult ? WTF . It seems like accusing people with bullshit is easier than explaining your point.
More Examples
As you can See he is just trying to harm this people with some bullshit accusations instead of accepting the shit he did. He never tries to explain his reasons with proofs . Therefore he is the best example for Argumentum Ad Hominem

So Apparently Noganoo is going to flag this guy for being a butthead . This is great example how to ruin your credit. Clap Clap Noganoo I'm pretty sure you made your mom Proud !
To sum up
I tried to show you guys how things go with Ad Hominem effect. Noganoo is a great example for bad debates. If you want to argue with someone in reasonable way , better try to forget what he done in the past and try to focus his current arguments. I guess when you understand that guy is totally unreasonable you can just quit arguing for your health.

and steem is not going downhill because people are arguing .....the fights here are more heated because they involve money and so its a big deal unlike reddit where karma doesnt mean shit and upvotes dont do anything

Anyway just wantd to point out that all of this a drop in the ocean of the steemblockchain
even if @noganoo goes around trying to flag as many people as he can, he wont be able to flag many people at all.....theres too many users on steemit.....

just keep promoting steemit!
dont follow the examplesof the people who make posts complaining about steemit , theytre just posting to get some extra upvotes, and theyr ejust discussing steemit, its fine, just dont take it too seriously

@steeminator3000 There's no fact checking or moderation; it has turned into a place where people come to blast opinions at each other and then walk away after pissing off their friends.
Instead, steemit should be used to maintain your network, not destroy it. Coming online to burn bridges with people is a waste of your time.
Yeah I can't agree this more. But sometimes you can't avoid toxicity and some people don't have any interest to maintain network. I wish I can see more reosanble arguments between people. Hopefully people will get along if they stay logical

Thanks for this post on Ad Hominem attacks. We see so much of this in social media. I feel, if you feel you have to win an argument by attacking the other person rather than discussing the issue, then you either have no clue about the issue at hand or you have no argument. Sad to see people feel the need to engage in this kind of behavior. Kind of like monkeys at the Zoo throwing their feces at passers by. I guess they don't have much of an argument either. :-)
