Could [STEEM] Replace [BITCOIN]?

An online revolution

Steemit has taken the world of currency by surprise and by storm, and this is yet only the beginning. The reaction that has been created is easily comparable of that of some Gold Rush of the 19:th and 20:th century, to be absolutely honest. It has existed for only a few months with its official release merely a rough month ago, yet has generated the biggest audience in the least amount of time compared to any other crypto project ever created. The future of this kind of medium looks very bright considering the sparkling new paid-content idea Steemit has provided to the crypto cummunity. With its first-time application ever, as far as I know, the idea doesn't seem to be capable of anything else than to grow. The incentive to succeed on Steemit is like a heroin addict's need for his next shot: it must happen.

Bitcoin as the elderly father that has its place, but it is no longer NO 1

Bitcoins make transactions, Steemit stimulates and endless market of tireless entrepreneurs/writers/artists/comedians. Steem makes transactions, too; sometimes even faster.

I don't read that much at all, to be perfectly honest, but some of the best stuff I have read in terms of shorter, but extremely well-written and quality-based material, I have read on Steemit. I found it by chance, because it was all upvoted to such heights. As an active Steemit member, the best and most carefully composed content is available to me every single day simply by entering http://www.steemit.com

Within a year, Steemit could take up the space of absolute number 1. The capitalism which is Steemit is yet untouched by outside evil forces, and it flourishes. Greed is not evil, but good, and it is nothing but good that Steemit encourages it, hence we will see a never-ending community of hard-working creators who form foundation of what Steemit really is. It will keep flourishing. This is quite obvious.

I doubt that steem would "take over" bitcoin. Steem has a lot of inflation, bitcoin doesn't (and will soon have less). But Steem might be able to have a thriving community, and not crash drastically like some people predict. I expect the value of steem tokens will decline over time. But I hope it won't decline at a rate that crushes the users.
