Vote buying. Good? Bad? Moral or immoral?

I've seen these kind of questions on Steemit's feed.

To be honest, in the beginning, I had my doubts regarding vote buying. If it would really pay off. If it would really have any difference on the rewards. If it is moral or not.

So i've decided to make an experiment for the whole month of November. To see if it really pays off to do this.

In November I've written 46 posts. For 31 of them I used different vote buying services. Some were good and paid off, some were bad and didn't had the expected returns. But overall, taking into consideration all the articles, I've finished on plus.

I've invested in vote buying 36.17 SBD for a total return of 30.633 SBD and 31.70 SP. Good or bad? What do you think? From my analysis it is a good outcome, considering that I've tested several services, some of them giving be some really bad results.

The overall rewards of the month, included the posts without any vote buying, were 36.194 SBD and 37.485 SP. All in all, I've finished the month on plus on my SBD. Even though it's barely above the line.

Of course, considering the market right now, selling your SBD's for votes might not be the brightest idea. It's better to convert them directly into Steem, but at the beginning of November who would've thought that this would happen.

Considering just the returns of SBD for the articles I've invested in vote buying, the average return for all the posts is -7.70%. I have to emphasize that this was because of the various services used. The best average return I had from @minnowbooster, which had -0.68% average return of SBD. The worst was from @booster which had a -52% SBD return (I only used it once to be honest, but you can imagine why).

After this whole analysis I'm considering buying votes in the future as well. As with many investments out there there are many factors to consider.
