Lets discuss if there is a future for STEEM

in #steemit8 years ago

After the mass migration from reddit and other social media sites we have a ton of "content", there is a new post in every 10 seconds. Most of them are created in the hope of getting rich quickly.

We have a lot of content creators who are very disillusioned with the top articles some written by cute girls, while they are not getting votes for their original content. Yesterday I saw the first porn pics posted on steemit (thanks for flagging it).

Here are some robots like wang and wong, who have already made over 100k USD with spamming and mass voting each other. How can we attack these bots? Flagging every posts by them is enough?

Do we want to build the next facebook with spam contents like cute puppies and babies and hot girls, or do we want to create quality content? Or is it good to have a mixed content? You choose!

Please share your ideas with a reply under the post, and let's talk about what we want STEEM to be in the future. If you agree with a reply please vote for that reply, so we know what you think.

Thanks!

People are free to post whatever they want but I don't see Steemit prospering unless we make a change and start upvoting quality and original content so shitty ones are discouraged. As long as shitty posts are trending that's what people will gravitate towards writing.
