I'm 1 Month Old Today: My First Month's Summary
So, I'm officially one month old today... I registered in the 11th of December and now it's time for me to weigh in my progress and see how far I've come in this mind boggling voyage in Steemit Lands.
I'll approach the first friends I made, the most supportive individuals, the delegations I received and finally the objectives I met and those I will set for my second month in this platform.
I thank everyone of my 411 Followers for the support they've given me and for everyone who allowed me to climb in reputation as well.
My 1st Month Recap: Finding New Friends and Allies
Contrary to many people here, I didn't join because of a friend or family.
I found a post when browsing for crypto information and registered, so I arrived all by myself.
My posts were making me $0.01 and only because I was voting for it.
- I was alone - Isolated!
After my first day, I read a post about Steem Supply and found it a great site to measure my progress... then I found out that I was making way more money when commenting than posting and I couldn't understand why people were making the most amounts on their posts rather than on comments.
- So I started commenting like crazy... 100 Comments per day!
Whenever I would stop, I'd see my follower count not growing as much, and so I continued.
Among those 100 Comments per day there were some users that I started to like commenting on, so I'd follow them to keep them under my radar.
Those became my first Steemit friends.
My first steemit friends were:
These guys were my core group on my first week, and I still follow all of them even today!
Then, as the second week came about, I knew another batch of great people.
I'm talking about:
- @HopeHuggs;
- @UndeRGRound;
- @rok-sivante;
- @taskmaster4450;
- @ericvancewalton;
- @vincentnijman;
- @velimir;
- @rt395;
- @eonwarped;
- @dawnesheree;
...and more!
The more people I connected with, the more friends I would find, and through my whole 1st Month I manage to have a solid bunch of friends, most of them in the 3rd and 4th week... but they start to be too many to mention.
Got 2 x Delegations: Special Allies:
Now, friends and followers are the core of the support you get in this platform, but there are some special allies I have who deserve a mention.
I'm talking about
- @undeRGRound - Who delegated 500SP to me;
- @InquiringTimes - Who delegated 300SP to me as well;
Even though I am a newbie, my votes are worth about $0.40 and all thanks to these guys.
They delegated because they believe in me and trust in my content quality, and that's all a blogger can ask for.
I count these two as my two main allies in this new journey of mine.
My Best Pieces: Here's Something to Read!
Throughout this month, there wasn't a single day in which I didn't post, so I have a lot of posts already, but of course we are always proud of some work more than we are of the rest, so here are some posts you should consider reading.
The Highlights of my First Month:
- STEEMING Your Way to Internet Riches;
- STEEMIT, Gaming and Crypto: An Entertainment Evolution;
- 8 Types of STEEMIT Authors Who Suck: Here Are Those Who Publish;
- Decentralized Mobsters: How Greedy Developers Work!;
- The Sloth Historian: And So, Slothicorn Was Born! for @slothicorn
I've written far more posts though, and as I write I get better at it, so give me a follow so you can stay up to date on what I'm churning out on a daily basis.
A new post, every day!
Objectives: What I Achieved and What Next
When I joined, I had no objective rather than earning money - like most of the people who join.
I had no investment here, knew nobody, and as such was concerned about me and me alone.
However, as the month went by, I started to have clear goals. My final goal was set in stone by the end of my 1st Week - to grow as big as I could in the platform, and to invest in it and promote it.
I saw the great benefit of blockchain in general and learned more about Crypto than ever before, and so I made a promise to myself not to cash out, power down and to get ALL of my income to POWER UP!
As of today, the end of my first month, I have - with NO Investment:
- 53 Reputation;
- 411 Followers;
- 245 Steem Power.
So I think I am well on track on the growth rates. Plus, I had the pleasure of having those suspicions confirmed when two different users mentioned my growth, which left me humbled and proud of myself.
These were:
- @taskmaster4450 - In his Post "STEEM Gold Mining: Why Everyone Should Be Dedicating Time And Effort On Steemit!!!!"
- @conradsuperb - In his Post "An Exemplar of How to Steemit 101: Take @spiritualmax As Prime Example!!!"
Now, to set my future goals:
Considering that I have climbed to 245 Steem Power on my first month, and rack up 411 Followers, I want in my 2nd month to reach:
700 Steem Power;
1000 Followers;
61 Reputation;
Having the goals written down is a good way to ensure I always find proper motivation.
So, having said all of this, I just want to thank everyone who reads my posts and likes to read what I have to write.
My hope is that I can continue to serve the community by pumping out quality content on a daily basis.
Cheers!

Congratulations Max! You're an example of a success story on Steemit. Keep on Steemin on and remember to always pay it forward. Too many in the big boy's club forget that until reminded.
Thank you for the continued support RT! Whenever you need me you know where to find me :)
loved your post, it gave me a lot of motivation not only that but also clear image of goal what i should be chasing from now onwards.
I am now suggesting your path to others. In hindsight it seems obvious to focus on the comments.
And at the same time I suggest certain communities after they want exposure on their own posts. Though that does come for free in reciprocation from commenting as well.
Cheers to you next month. Good luck on the ambitious goal! Are you changing anything in your strategy for that goal?
More Networking as I scale up, getting involved in the community as well, and keeping my comment average on 30 a day. Post average should be 1.6 per day.
Cheers Eon :)
How much time do you spend in Steemit in a day? :o
A minimum of 3 Hours I guess.
Wow!! Just this?! :o
Happy birthday to us! My 1 month birthday will be tomorrow! :))
I'm older than you then, newbie! :D
Here's a 4 cents upvote for you as a present, next month I'll give you a larger one if you still check in.
Thank you my older and wiser brother! I´ll return your generousness with a 3 cent upvote (but only because I couldn´t figure out how much % would be 4 cent^^) You rock!
Ha! Now I got it! 4 cent! We are equal now and I can sleep well again!^^
Domo Arigato. Namaste and all that :D
Love n´light! :D
this is an excellent result, have something to be proud of :)
I'm sure that you will have many more good friends ahead of you, many good posts and a great voice power - the road to become a whale! The most important thing is that you set an example for many and show that your advice works and makes you stronger here.
As they say in this case in my native language: Красавчик!
I'll be honored if you grow alongside me Frank! Let's roll and make our ruckus! :D
all the best will come!)

Wow, I feel like a bigger guy already just for having the pleasure of a comment from you! I admire your hardwork in this community and your posts are always top notch quality.
As I said and will say again, you're Steemit's finest numbersmith.
Cheers and thank you for the resteem :)
Good work, Max! I just found you and am glad I did; although after reading this post I think I may have had already found you in the past(I believe I read conradsuperb's article, but didn't go to your profile at the time). I'm gonna leave that awkward grammar there because I don't really know what else to do with it.
Thanks also for providing a list of your first friends here. I will look through and see if I find any of them intriguing(I'm sure I will).
Looks like you've had a pretty kick ass start. Keep it up!
I'm loving the experience and absolutely addicted. This is a lot of fun and fun that gets rewarded, what's there not to like? Love it.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet Herbert, I'll see you around!
Cheers
Wonderful way to go :D
High fives
HIgh 5! :D
Thanks for the mention, brother! I'm honored to be considered a friend by a future Steemit whale. And besides that, it's a pleasure following you, your blog and your progress.
Keep up the good work!
I will brother! Let's both become Wales, it isn't a good thing to do it alone :D
Cheers!
I prefer to become Scotland ;>)
Well played Sir... Thank you sir, may I have another sir?
I'm extremely sorry, but I run out of Sirs.
What a wonderful first month! They're right to believe in you; you always produce quality, informative, easy-to-read blogs.
It's great that you're reinvesting in the steemit community. I started to POWER UP when money trickled in. It's all gonna be worth it in the end.
Well done, good luck with Month 2's goals and happy monthiversary :)
Thanks Anjkara!
Are you a Berserker yet? :)
I wish you the best as well, and may you grow strong and close the gap between us lightning fast ;D
Cheers
I'm a Berserker in my heart, but I haven't got the badge yet. I hope to be in the very near future :D
