Bummer, right? It was a grand day when busy.org set up the sliding scale to prevent such disappointments. You don't have to be a whale to get the privilege, as is with Steemit ;+).

It's pretty easy.

Login to busy.org
Click the down arrow next to your avatar.
Select Settings.
Select your default vote percent.
Click SAVE; and you're all set.

Of course for the ying and yang of things, the downside of this means each time you want to give a sliding-scale tip, you'll have to use busy.org. Otherwise, Steemit will upvote your max value which could leave you with an empty account if you upvote frequently within a 24-hour period.

Of course, you may already know this; therefore, this is just a helpful tip to those new to Steemit.
