Steemit Open Source IOS/ANDROID Development Announcement Post.
Source: this is bluebuses image.
My team is currently starting on Mobile development for steemit. We will be spending our time on this project for the next wallet and would like the support of the community. This project will be fully open source for all to use after launch. We will build the skeleton and first app then release it for all to see and to beta. We have a number of key features that's users are going to love that are pretty ambitious.
Features we will be looking to put into this project for the first release:
- Very nice sleek design -Possible multiple colors-
- Categories, Feed, Replies
- Trending, hot, new, active, popular and so on.
- Ability to post to the site.
- Random post button
It will work on the main page or in current category you're in.
- wallet-Not access to your direct wallet but to see your current wallet.-
- Nice editor with markdown shortcuts added and much much more.
Possible extra add-ons at launch:
- Steemit.chat integration into the app for Private Messaging/Chatting.
I have already talked to @kennyrowe aka riverhead the owner of steemit.chat about adding chat support after The steemit essentials are done.
- In app picture taking that gets auto uploaded- Will go more into the feature later-
If you would like to be active in the project and give your ideas they are welcome.
You can talk and give your ideas here:

Github: https://github.com/Steemitmobile
We are hoping to crowd fund this project because of the time we will need to put into this.
- The projects we will be turning down to do this, so every single upvote of support helps.
- So to be honest we need to get upvotes to get the funds required for this project to happen.
- I still need to pay these guys, so any support users can offer even if its debugging help's.
Please feel free to leave your comments about this project.
I just want to point how my experience has been with your post... I clicked the damn link because you posted it in 4 different channels I frequent on steemit.chat. I find 2 newly created, empty repositories and a small basic feature list. I then look at your account history and see a couple other "ideas" that have been proposed with no follow up. Now I've been inspired to actually respond.
What you're doing isn't going to be successful here. I'm not trying to be an asshole, I'm just trying to provide a reality check. You're not going to get any meaningful support using these types of tactics and this behavior. You're going to have to actually execute on some very bare minimum of substance/work before anyone's going to actually support you.
Please, put some effort into it to something. But realize that no matter what you do, you're going to get the support you deserve, not the support you want.
I'm wondering what other ideas you mean on my account?
Also yes i am aware of this but unlike certain other projects that i won't name have made it known they don't want to release their source code because of monetary gains they wish to achieve and hope users just trust it.
We don't have to do the project that's fine I'm even cool helping back other efforts but time allocation is something that needs to be compensated since this isn't just something i'm personally just going to be working on. If other developers want to help with the development id be happy to work with them but currently all i have is paid staff.
You have given absolutely no proof of development, and I think you are just riding of off this post: https://steemit.com/steemit/@steemapp/introducing-steemy-fully-native-ios-android-apps-for-steem
Sorry to tell you that's not the reason behind it.
The post has been updated to show the repositories for the project once we are done with planning.
Always some keyboard warrior who doesn't want to see anything be successful or be beneficial to anyone other than himself/herself.
That's true but ehh what can you do.
much WOW....
