Keeping Steem clean vs penalising fairly/unfairly?
Steemians, what is "appropriate" and what is "not appropriate" to post in the grey-area of providing a referral link (which benefits the end user, as well as the author)?
Isn't this the pillars of what the Steem platform is built upon?
My post about WCX got flagged and downvoted. As a new user of Steem with very little "reputation" and "influence" it is now of course hidden.
I'd like your opinion. As you can see, it is the second link out of two, clearly advertised, and only provided as it adds value to the end user.
The part of my post which flagged is as follows:
Links
- Non-Affiliate link: https://wcex.co/
- Affiliate link (you get an extra 15% when purchasing WCX tokens): htps://referallink.blah

I don't understand how something like the following post is ok but mine wasn't?
mine: 4 votes (2 down, 2 up)
another user's post: 10 votes (10 up) - https://steemit.com/news/@nixthehammer/you-can-still-get-some-free-wcx-before-ico-grab-them-while-they-are-cheap
