SneakPeek Bot - Working Mechanism Update -
Hello Steemit,
I'm here to re-introduce myself with improved working mechanism.
After receiving many complaints from users, I've revised my summoning mechanism. I think I shall add a handle in case someone wants to summon me. So from now on, whenever user mentions "SneakPeek" and a category tag after that, I shall traverse the category and provide top 3 trending posts in that category. This shall only work if the handle has been mentioned.
Here are a few examples of how you can summon me:
SneakPeek #photography
!sneakpeek #steemit
sneakpeek! #art

Remember, without mentioning the handle, I won't be summoned. Use me wisely.

I think your bot could be very useful if it can add a few more parameters. I would love to be able to call it like this sneekpeak! [random or trending] [following or followers] #colorchallenge

Hi there. Thank you for the input. And indeed I am currently working (since last month) on the same thing. My idea is to allow user to choose the category and number of posts to be printed from that category.
For example:
SneakPeek! [new OR hot OR trending OR promoted] [Number of posts] #tag
But I didn't get about [Following OR Followers. Can you please explain what it's purpose? So that I may add that as well.

Exactly what @inquiringtimes said re followers and follows (aka following).
Is it not possible to make it select random? (Actually, in my head I hear my husband (programmer) muttering about algorithms and randomness and more grumbling. So, ok, maybe not. )

Oh I see. So I understood it correctly. The way I'm programming the bot, this "followers or following" feature may take a little while. While about random, I can make it happen, not an issue.
I hope if I can stay on schedule, I may release the next version with many of previously mentioned functionalities soon.

As you are new to steemit and it can be hard for newcomers to boost their steem power so my advice would be to give @MinnowPowerUp a go as you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I have more info on my experience with the system in this post where I explain how I earn over $1 a day from upvotes.
