Steemit's Tag Problem Part 2: Identity Crisis!
I have found yet another issue with Steemit's current system that may take community effort to resolve: Homonyms!
Specifically, GAMING! Now, to some gaming means video games. Others, poker or some kind of gambling. Reddit's system of sub makes it clear where to find your interests, even if the name of the sub doesn't match. For example, /r/Trees is NOT for trees, but for 420 enthusiasts. But there are still links showing people who really love their arbor where to go.
Here though, you're just going to get a very strange overlap. There's currently no sidebar explaining unspoken rules and order allowing us to sort this out either. How would we enforce the correct sort of tag segregation at all? How am I going to find JUST what I was looking for?
We've got a long way to go
