Progress must be made.....SteemIt

From my 1.5 Years on Steem since Dec 2017,
I find that it is difficult to get people to sign-up and onboard onto Steem.

The signup process is difficult, and the concept of the private/public keys are confusing to most people.

For Steem to grow, the sign-up and onboarding process must be easy and painless. Without getting new people onto the eco-system, I don't see how it can grow... comments anyone ?
