Thanks very much @abisolami I always find it best to save up as much steempower as possible not only does it help the system but it helps yourself earn more.
As for your question I'm not a big fan of the whole verification thing, it's not how Steemit was intended to be used and I have seen countless users say getting verified as done little to help them.
But to answer your question from my understanding you have already done this process on your very first post, but yet nobody as come to see your post and verify you.

So I suggest there are 2 things you can do, either you write another post similar to your first post with a new verification picture in "Newcomers' Community" here https://steemit.com/trending/hive-172186, tag all the greeters which can be seen under the leadership tab.

Or the other option is to message some of the greeters on their posts and politely request they look at your initial verification post.
