Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 22/6/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 22/6/2023.

June 2023 Marks us already halfway into the year, the Government starts trials on universal basic income schemes. This isn't the UBI for those who don't have jobs but it means everybody will get this wage. UBI as been in the works for many years some think this will solve many problems while others believe it will cause more of them, it could also very well destroy the value of any currency who takes this scheme up. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power, this as so far been a 6 year project. Also if you want Steem to be a success or just looking to earn more you should vote mostly on those who do not power down. Powering down lowers the value of Steem, meaning it lowers the value of your investment or the Steem that you earn from posting. My account is a example as one of the very few on here who is not powering down rewards. I also buy into Steem often, your votes encourage me to keep on buying even more so keep them coming as buying also helps rise the price of Steem. By voting on these posts we try to protect and raise the price of Steem, we also plan to use this to buy even more when the price goes up. During the bitcoin downwave from 60k it also sadly took down the value of SBD's, however SBD's have done a excellent job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is that SBD's will once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again. As for Steemit the Team they are having better results with smaller curation teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there is less room for curator positions and so competition to apply as been tougher, however it's said that the rewards will be greater. Tron as been once again not appearing in our wallets it looks like a general issue but it's probably connected to the fact that TRX will once again be reduced going from the ratio of 1 Steem to 0.25 TRX or in other words meaning that will be 0.25 TRX for every 1 Steem Power earned. Not going to lie I feel this kind of sucks I'm wondering now if they will continue to lower it until it will be zero. The cost of living is spiralling upwards the reasoning said for all these high prices is the war in the Ukraine, guess we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history, they attack, strike up fear, call-out threats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

Last night I went to sleep just past the usual late hour which is earlier compared to the last few nights, but this was only because I sat by my window for a few minutes enjoying the cool air from the night slowly breezing into my room. The previous night was a late one as I was watching the children of the corn movie after my friend described to me something scary that happened to her when she was a teenager. Not as scary as I was lead to believe as it mostly just reminded me of how many kids are today, walking the streets carrying knifes. I guess it depends in where you live as it's definitely not everywhere. Still at least in the movie this behaviour was down to some kind of unholy creature, which might not be too far from what pushes kids into that kind of life today, it's just much more subtle than what you'd see in a movie of course, and I also realise that if I had watched this movie as a kid I would of been much more frighten. I slept well all night but I did wake-up before my alarm this was because at one point I felt the cold breeze and so once I put a shirt on I was fine. At least I only woke once compared to the other previous days where I was up 3 times before my alarm. On the first day it was mostly random stuff like people being loud and the cat demanding attention, as for the following day it was anxiety "not wanting to over sleep" this was due to needing to be in work. On another day there was also the loud sound of thunder, yup in the middle of June! So this morning I went back to sleep until my alarm and rested slightly past it, it's good that I felt I was ready to get out of bed soon after as I did have very limited time due to work. This morning it was back to being very bright and sunny out, infact I started to feel the heat just as I got out of bed. See yesterday it strangely remained a mostly cloudy day as it was promised to be sunny and so I guess since the weather is a little behind it's original schedule it's going to full blast us with heat today to make up for yesterdays cooler performance. I got started with doing some chores, but like I said time was very limited this morning, and lastly I went on Steemit. Once my free time was up I went for a quick breakfast before changing and then heading out for work. My hayfever started on Thursday June 8th it wasn't too bad and so far it's not been severe until the night of June 19th which so far as been strangely the worst. Strange because it happened when I was returning home late at night, normally during the day is worse, also I went to a park that day. I got caught in rain on my way back home which would of washed most of the pollen away. But nope still for whatever reason it was still at it's worst when I was indoors in my room where all windows had been closed and after I had essentially had a shower. Makes no sense but I felt very irritated by the pollen. When I left for work it was strangely getting a little cloudy which made me wonder if in the end we will have another slightly cooler day. Arriving to work last time I had a similar situation where I was not down for doing the usual work but since nobody mentioned anything about it I done what I normally do without issue. But the reason for this could simply be something to do with the upper floors being warmer and so my colleagues so far haven't really cared as it means they don't have to work there. Well today when I arrived in work I was glad to see I was actually down for doing the usual however since this is more like the time I normally work I guess it would of been expected that I would be on the usual, perhaps this change was only for the morning shifts I done, I hope so. One of the first things I done was to check and see if there was going to be extra work to do later which I was confident there was going to be but one can still hope that wouldn't be the case. Unfortunately as expected there was extra work and while it was ready a little later then it should be I was still hoping to avoid more of it. However I was surprised by how much we managed to get done definitely went past the half way mark. As I left work and made my way home I was really surprised by how cloudy it was out, I mean it was still very hot but the weather forecast this week as definitely not been right, but I'm kind of glad because this way it's been slightly cooler than predicted. Once I got home I got more information on my friends cat who got run over, so far it seems the cat will survive but the vet is still trying to learn how severe back leg fractures could be but I think the cat will recover and was extremely lucky to live. While having a conversation with my father the other evening we came to the conclusion that in order to get some things organised I needed to go and see him soon. I have been looking for opportunities to go. At the moment I may have found something but I think I will skip the initial given dates of July and instead visit in August as there are still what seems to be like some decent deals around for that time. Thing is August is just such a bad time for travel due to the holiday season, well let's see if anything comes up as I should really get down to getting these bookings done.
