Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 17/2/2025, under the hood it's been a 8 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 8 years.

There as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "8 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earned rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all plus we will try and use some of that Steem to buy even more. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and often times shady profits, this is before they decide to just get up and disappear. But we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remain a strong and reliable token.

Feb 2025- Bitcoin reached over "108.000" on Jan 20th and so the bull season doesn't seem to be done just yet. We mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. But sadly there's not been a lot of movement from our own token this bullrun, but what this means is that Steem itself is still wide open price wise for the smart and smaller investors👍. Last night I went to sleep under the usual late hour, this was mostly due to having work early in the morning, but also being tired from the previous early work shifts. The past few nights are still a later time than what I would want to be asleep by, but I'm not napping during the day anymore which is great, however it's still best to strive for a healthy amount of sleep. There have only been 2 nights where I went to sleep at the most optimal time since doing these early shifts which began at the beginning of the year. When I did try to sleep the cold made it initially a little difficult. I woke-up a few hours to my scheduled alarm, this was due to trouble regulating my temperature regardless of trying a bunch of things. However since I got fed up with this happening every night I decided I will be removing some bedding per night until this stops happening. But I have to admit that while last night it still woke me up I wasn't feeling as hot like I normally do. Our "cat alarm clock" as mostly been sleeping indoors during the night and will usually be quiet at night until lately. He as began mewing during the night again, this is almost similar to when he initially stayed with us where he was being very loud. This is not great for me due to these early morning shifts, he protests during the night for not being allowed out during the day but at least last night he did not disturb me. These early mornings are usually a struggle to wake-up for and this morning was no different. For the weather it was dark, the sky was cloudy, temperature wise it was cold from the beginning. It was another early start for me, not by choice but because I had to be in work very soon, and so there was no time for chores or anything else. I done what I could, and with my free time over I skipped breakfast, got my bag set for work, I changed and left. On the way to work I took some rubbish with me to dispose, it was cold again but thankfully not windy, it was also another morning were I was able to catch the sun rising, the traffic returned but it wasn't bad. When I got to work it was the fat superior who was in with me and that was not a problem for this shift. Things seemed in order when I saw the scene that I would normally expect which was to see our colleague waiting patiently for setting us up with task2. Since I'm doing a morning shift I checked the fire doors and then get started with task1 out of 3, sometimes 4 on a Sunday. For task1 there was just over the usual amount, same as yesterday, but this time I was not worried because there was no task4 to get done later. Still this means there were a few times I had to hurry with task1 and even with that I was a few minutes past my target time. After completing task1 and checking on task2 I noticed again it was strangely over the usual amount, but not the same insane amount like it was yesterday. I was just about 5 minutes past when task2 was completed but something was not right, according to the system the task was still not completed by about %30 which was odd and clearly something was missing. So I told the superior and he would trace down the problem while I move to the final task 3. I was happy to see that task3 was a pitiful amount of work, when I got it completed I still had a spare 15 minutes. Still it was odd to see the bloated tasks1 and 2 again, I could only assume and pretty sure this still has something to do with Valentines Day. But it's over now so I don't understand all this extra work. It seems Valentines Day is still very alive and strong regardless of peoples financial struggles, it's just I don't remember it lasting this long. I checked to see if I had any pointless weekly tasks to get done. I had one of course for the week but this was done by another colleague yesterday. Because unfortunately the superior told this colleague to get my particular job done already. This makes no sense because I could get it done today instead, it's not even something that needs to be done urgently or infact ever, it's just another pointless thing to have people doing something "extra". I can say it was a good shift much better compared to yesterday, still I was glad when it came time for me to escape work😁. On the way home it was brighter there was even some sunshine, however it had turned ice cold, it was much worse compared to the morning, so I hurried home. Once I arrived home I got started with chores, while no headache today I do have a sore throat brewing due to the bad night's sleep the previous day. I wanted to continue with the kitchen, fighting some of the mold trying to settle on the walls. Also I still need to send in the dates I want off to work so that I can go to the event with friends this time round which is happening in a few months time. Unfortunately there was again not the time for doing these things especially since starting to feel that once again the flu is returning. I went later online to meet with friends to get those behind caught up, while this was achieved I started to feel worse. For the quick work-outs it's been 74 days since my last one but it's going to have to keep waiting longer because of what I think is the flu continually trying to take over. Lastly I started to prepare dinner, then I settled in for the night. On Steemit.com 📊 the Community Curators for February arrived the winners were announced. TRX wallets on Steemit.com have been removed by the Steemit Developers a long with any funds. This was part of the condenser project to fix all the wrong display numbers from rewards. I think removing the TRX wallet is downscaling the usefulness of the SteemitWallet and the Steem token as a whole. You can recover any funds by creating a new tron account with TronLink and then adding the Steem generated TRX account to that newly created account. I still think we should of kept the TRX wallet functional if you agree on keeping the TRXwallet you can write to them here asking for it's return TRXWallet. Reminder: There as been promises of war arising everywhere, a war in this day and age will be devastating, so we must continue to work on remaining at peace, and not to fight in wars that don't belong to us.
