Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 16/2/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 16/2/2023.

Feb 2023 we previously had a big fall that took Steem down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Due to the low price drop and the continued support from you guys we managed to hit 43k before going into 2023. It could of been a lot better but we lost some support a long the way, although we also gained some so let's not be discouraged. Since then the price as gone up in the general market this includes Steem, a good sign yes but not for reaching our goal haha. However this doesn't matter as the point of us trying to reach our 50k goal is to secure and raise the price of Steem. Which is still selling at a accessible price for many folks however what isn't going at a good rate is our average electrical usage charge, it's so much more costly compared to just a few months back. These greedy energy companies just don't stop milking from people. I mention this as it cuts into investment, many things have gone up in price. January didn't bring in much better with the weather being colder and the cost of living spiralling upwards hitting hard. Many are left wondering when will it all get better? The bad news is most likely it won't, I mean it never as before so why do people continue to think there will be a reverse on these costs. Back on Jan 14th I saw a news article asking the same question, but claiming that as we go deeper into the year the cost of living will go down. More articles since then claim the same scenario, well I don't ever remember hearing or ever seeing the costs going down, it always goes up so good luck with that. Apparently the reasoning for all this is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

Since the past few years have been mostly awful I don't expect this one on being much better, people just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more doing horrendous things to each other, those in control up top are no better and also responsible for much of the hardship happening. I was disappointed but already knew it was going to happen but I went to sleep slightly later than the usual late hour this is because I got distracted looking at some retro stuff online and knew it was going to lead to a late one. But we keep trying, when I woke-up this morning it was very gloomy which is what I think prevented me from getting up earlier rather than the lack of sleep also it is too cold to get out of bed. I started doing some chores and logged on Steemit but there was not much time for much of anything as I had work to get in for. When I left for work finally the road maintenance guy came to remove the barriers they had placed around a hole they dug up in the road. The reason why I say finally is because the hole they dug up had been closed for the days now but yet the barriers remained around it, people would often go past wondering why there are barriers on a road with no hole or works being done. When I got into work I was doing the usual, before I got fully started I overheard a conversation going on from a superior who mentioned that they had me start one of the tasks that needed doing and the another colleague finished it. This was the same task I mentioned in yesterday's post that the superior had not made themselves very clear and so I ended up actually not even starting the task and so expected to be called up on it at some point later. But from the looks of things they seem to think I started the task so if I'm lucky that will be the end of the matter, it a accidental misunderstanding from us both and I feel nothing needs to be said. Unfortunately today there would be extra work to be done, now when I checked over the schedule the work would be ready with about one hour left from me leaving but like I already predicted it arrived early so I still had to get around 20% of it done. I expected to get less done but one of the staff got caught in traffic and so I stayed behind a little longer so that she wouldn't start by being behind. It's been reported that it's going to get much colder again in the last week of February which is not something I wanted to hear. But some people did point out that the so called snow bomb never happened so this was probably more garbage reporting which I hope will be the case. It was still very cold today but I hoped before leaving the sun would warm the place up a bit and while this didn't happen at least after leaving work it was actually warmer. The other day when I was close to work a woman and her child parted ways, the child was on a scooter and had intensions of going down a ramp used for people who find it difficult to use stairs. As the child approached the ramp a senior man pulling he's shopping trolley was still trying to make he's way up. The man simply looked up at the child with worry that the girl might decide to come down the ramp as he is still trying to get up himself. If it's not clear the ramp only really fits about one person at a time. Seeing this the mother called the child over to use the stairs instead, the child did so and asked the mother why could she not use the ramp? To which the mother replied loud enough for those around her to hear " don't want no weird men eying up my child". I found this to be very out of context the man was simply minding he's own business trying to get home with he's shopping, if a child is about to possibly ram at you on their scooter your obviously going to want to be aware of the situation "man or woman" it's silly to instantly label the guy some kind of predator for simply looking at what might be coming towards him. I was also briefed on how apparently the system used for our scheduling will be completely changed, I hate this kind of change because I'm sure I already know what their plan is which is to put the scheduling deeper into the system so they can try and lure us into looking at the work social media page. We have a work meeting coming towards the end of the month this is very surprising to me as we have not had a work meeting in a very long time. My hope was that in this meeting they would give us some information about whether or not we will have a job by Christmas but I got a feeling this will not be mentioned at all. I received news from my friends who went on holiday if you can call it that they have gone from one cold place to another even colder place. I had to get a new telephone because speaking to my father a few nights ago the phoneline was making a crackling noise, this is not the first time it's happened and it's usually because of condensation. I let the telephone dry out and checked all the wires but nothing seems to fix it from making it's loud crackling noise. Unfortunately putting the phone up today it still seems to make this crackling noise sure it's not as bad but it seems the problem is instead with the phone box.

As for Steem there as been a few changes when it comes to the Steemit Team and it's booming support, communities have now been separated into different tiers there are so far 3 different tiers which means there are more opportunity for other communities to take part. There were nearly 30 communities putting themselves forward in the hope of getting booming support from the team and due to the extra tiers it seems all communities that applied have been excepted. Steem took a big fall ever since the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. What I like about Steem is it still offers so much opportunity for those investors who realise the enrichment that comes from holding such a token. In one way I wanted the crypto market to remain on the lower end for a while longer, this is to try and get some discounts on various cryptos and in turn hopefully getting a small ROI with Steem. As for TRX there was also a drop in price we also once again stopped receiving TRX rewards which sure seems to be a often reoccurring issue. With that said I do wish they would focus a little more on this problem as it looks so bad on Steemit and myself when I mentioned it as a feature. From what is understood initially there was bug/issue with how TRX was being distributed, instead of receiving half as proposed we was still getting almost the full amount. This was all announced back in October 2022 the Team were saying that all these missing TRX rewards from it's down date will still be received into our wallets once the issue as been resolved. This seem to be slowly happening as I initially received some TRX on Jan 10th but after that nothing until on Feb 5th when I received some more rewards again. This then stopped until Feb 9th as more rewards continue to come in, but could it be that the problem is finally resolved now and we are to get TRX delivered less often to place less strain on the system? There is also much talk of the government bringing out it's own digital currency this is something many predicted years ago and in 2025 they are going to try and put it forward with a release expected in 2030 but it wouldn't surprise me if this happens even sooner. They have also announced that they will be blocking people now from being able to buy crypto via their banks because crypto is volatile??.. LocalBitcoins as very sadly announced it's fall after a decade of service, in the statement it's said this is due to the crypto winter market but the real culprits are likely the authorities as there sure seems to be a lot services falling due to draconian rules it looks like Binance is another target.
