Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 16/1/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 16/1/2022.

Half way thought January already it's gone so fast, we didn't start the year seeing Steem reach $8 lol that's for 2018, instead the price of Steem dropped. We had not seen Steem fall this low in a while which as been really pleasing to see there was some recovery and while it's not back to where it was Steem is still higher than what it used to be. This lower price provides a opportunity for those who want to get more involved with Steem there could definitely be another fall with BTC if people panic but I'm thinking this isn't going to happen now. Haha which would be good if it could hold on until I reach the 30k SP mark on here, please thank you. Which reminds me there is something I'm getting rather concerned about and that is the fact that the wallet on Bittrex for Steem still remains "Inactive" I brought some more Steem to transfer onto Steemit for Power but since the Bittrex wallet remains Inactive I can't do anything with those funds. I understand it says the wallet is "under maintenance" which is something I have seen happen already many times, but I also saw some information that I'm not sure about but I think it means that the wallet as been under maintenance since Tue Dec 21 2021! If this is the case I don't remember the wallet being offline for so long..well at least since the split to the hive token. 🏆If your interested in perhaps winning another upvote from me anybody who can find any updated useful information on what is going on " include the source" from where found the information, then share below on the comments and you might just win a upvote from myself if your the first to comment🏆. We must also remember that there is little doubt that the movement of BTC falling would also effect the price of SBD's which some of us have been using to gather Steem-power. Knowing that this was getting close to collapsing had many worried about using their current strategies. As for the weather this "new year" began mild, sure it got colder as the days went on but my goodness did it get really freezing cold a few days later! Luckily we sometimes had rain in the morning which washed away some of the cold. Strangely the past few days it's actually been the sunshine warming us up. Well barely warming us up but at least it's been a little milder an lighter for longer, yet yesterday I surprised to wake and see that it was thick fog outside! As for the disappearing text messages the problem was finally resolved with a factory reset, the phone as been working like new now even the battery is strangely lasting much longer now. So apart from the step counter app all that remains is that for some reason I got banned from WhatsApp without a warning or justification. This is very frustrating but if the phone continues working well I might consider trying again with hopes that I can get back on it. Today I was in work for the morning shift this time there was no surprise thick fog nor way it too cold instead it was relatively bright. Anyway at least today I was in on time getting a little nervous since the other after the other day I was late for work, not by much just under 10 minutes but this rarely ever happens to me and since lately they started getting very strict with lateness I thought I was going to be in the office for sure. Amazingly I didn't, I'm not sure if it's because I'm never late so nobody actually noticed or if they did notice and let it slip for various reasons. I'm guessing they probably did notice but because I was doing them a favour on today they may have decided to let it slip. I still expected it to come up the following day since they have been so on it lately. The reason for being late is I feel I was cursed on the day lol, seriously everything was just going so wrong, hopefully you'll know what I mean that just every single little thing was going wrong, this somehow made me mis-judged the time so ended up late. I haven't moved so fast in a long time as I was still trying to get in for work on time, but heck it seems to have done the trick as I got away with it. I done my usual duties for the day I wasn't in for long being Sunday which was nice as I was a little tired from the longer shifts the past 2 days but to be honest I was lucky as none of the extra work came in while I was there. I got to ask my colleague who was away because of covid how it was. He told me the first week of covid he felt basically like he had a bad flu and that by the 2nd week it was like a minor cold, but that he say he enjoyed being quarantine because he got to chill out at home lol. As for the progress on fitness I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns I done this by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. It began back in April 2021 and it continued until the beginning of October, this is when my work schedule began to revert back to normal which made it too difficult to continue. I come to the conclusion it had to be put on hold at least until the new year began. And as for steps the app for recording them is no longer working correctly, but I have reset my phone and might consider trying it again as I was doing around 105k steps for my weekly goal.

This is great news and I guess a obvious reason as to why the price of Steem increased. And so all these accounts together we hold around 12mil Steem from here I hope to continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM! My goal 🌍 is to now reach 30.000 SP🏆, hopefully by the end of June 2022. I want to thank everybody who does vote in and for their kind support, I have now been on here for over 5 years and never powered down✔️ not once!! 🚫. I also continue to invest into STEEM with small quantities using my own fiat currency✔️, your votes can help with this also.
