Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 1/4/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 1/4/2023.

April 2023 Yes the expected month for everything to go up in price the problem is everything as already been going up in price by a lot so instead of thinking "Yeah we have done this" nope let's raise the prices up even more. There seems to be a lot of movement from authorities to prevent many interested or wanting to take part in crypto " it's too volatile and dangerous" that's the excuse from the big nanny state. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. The big fall since the bitcoin downwave from 60k sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job of holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. Steem and the general market had often been predicted to fall near the beginning of March and it looks like we got some of that, but what's with this 2nd bounce back, well it could be market manipulation as many claim but it sure is holding well. However what isn't going at a good rate is our average electrical usage charge, these greedy energy companies just don't stop milking people and this cuts into investment, many things have gone up in price. The new year didn't bring much better with the weather being colder and the cost of living spiralling upwards hitting hard. Many are left wondering when will it all get better? The bad news is most likely it won't, it never as before. To prove a point we are once again being told this April the electric costs are going up once again which is seriously ridiculous. But no wait the government says it's going to save us all because they are going to extent their "energy support scheme" by paying off some of these costs for those who can't pay. I think they forget the money they are using to "cover these costs" is actually our money, tax payers money. Regardless they claim the cost of energy will go down by the time the scheme ends. The reasoning said for all these high prices is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

People just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more doing horrendous things to each other, those in control up top are no better and also responsible for much of the hardship happening. Last night I went to sleep just slightly earlier than the usual late hour, this is because I spent most of the past few days resting and so I guess it was to no real surprise that it took me a little longer to fall asleep. I woke up this morning with my alarm but strangely found it difficult to get out of bed but I think this is because of the cold. I felt a lot better this morning and even considered the party my friend wanted me to attend but I think so far I still don't feel well enough for that and I don't want to push it. I did get more chores done this morning compared to yesterday, well I did have a lot more time before work compared to most other days but still if I was still as sick I wouldn't get much done regardless of time I had spare. I would of spent it all resting, I also went on Steemit for a while before having to get ready for work. I still need to thank the mystery delivery person for getting my order delivered yesterday morning rather than having me wait until April 8th. I was up most of that morning surprisingly and aware. But nothing was delivered, or so I thought.. I reckon the person who delivered didn't knock at the door and that's fine, instead they left the package hidden out of view and sent me a message with a picture of where they had placed it. Considering I was suppose to wait another week for it to arrive I say they delivered a fantastic service. Today we were back to the gloomy dull weather but no rain this morning, yes of course the rain waited for when I was about to leave. Still on my way in it wasn't raining that much to raise concern, when I arrived in work I was doing the usual and just like I expected I would be in to deal with the extra work. While there wasn't a lot I still felt like I had to work hard or if not it wouldn't of been done on time. Actually that's a lie I'm confident it would of been done on time it's just it would of been at the very last minute. Regardless when leaving there was a long delay, think this was just from general housekeeping from the superior and the shutting down of a few systems. So in one way I'm glad I didn't agree to got to this party and I can add more to that by saying that as we left work it was raining slightly plus it was cold, these are all things I wanted to avoid so think I made the right choice. I did get a message from my friend saying it was a bore there, I felt bad not going but still think it was best for my health. It's like I already explained I'm sick and some people just don't respect that. Before leaving yesterday I was suppose to leave some paperwork behind for one of the superiors unfortunately I only remembered when I was half way home I'm guessing that will come back and bite me at some point, nothing today but let's see. As for this flu I feel so much better now however have to admit today I feel slightly worse again but I think this comes from some of the stress. The last few times in work I got part of the job to move things about to confuse those who try robbing the place, this actually took longer than I thought it would take but it kept me busy. I was told that some of the other sites have had break-ins, and so for this reason things will be moved about to make the thieves have a tougher time on achieving their goals once inside. My question is why are the police not doing anything, why is it down to citizens and business owners to protect what is theirs? But yet when you do this yourself instead of locking away the thieves we get locked up for self-defence. And so we have to play silly games like move things about, it's rife with crime here and there seems to be no way out. Instead we get punished but of course there is word that staff "us" will also be under watch even more so due to these changes "incase" we try and steal anything that is not in it's usual place. Doesn't surprise me, we suffer more for what others have done.. what a surprise.

As for Steemit there were seven curation teams, so 49 community curators all together which means 4 million SP in total used for upvoting content, however in April the Team will try something different. They are going to be experimenting with smaller teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there will be less room for curators and the competition to apply for entry will be tougher, but to make up for this it's said that the rewards will be greater. What didn't surprise me is that most Community Curators seem to not look beyond their own communities when it comes to casting votes or selecting their "Posts of the Week" entry which is why I think another team should be doing this specifically. Regardless the Team mentioned that this will became more important when picking curators going forward which I think is a good thing. As for TRX most of the missing TRX rewards have now been sent to users, we are now receiving all current earned TRX rewards, it's less consistent as it can take 2 or 3 days sometimes even longer but at least we are getting them, perhaps the delays is due to the amount earned per day?
