RE: 8 Tips For Appropriate and Effective Upvote Bot Usage / Uygun ve Verimli Bot Kullanımı İçin 8 Öneri

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

The answer to when you should use bots is.... Never...

  1. It goes against the core idea of Steem. Youre literally flipping the finger to Ned and Dan when you use bots.
  2. For promotion (I dont care if no one looks there) you have the promoted tab.
  3. You shouldnt be the one deciding for yourself that your content has value, or is quality.. The community should do that. Thats why its called the Trending page.... Trending page... Not the "Look at me i think im cool" page. This is a social media site not a massive ad banner.
  4. Trending:
widely mentioned or discussed on the Internet, especially on social media websites (dont bot buy this post and see if you will break 5USD.)

In conclusion.... Youre going against the idea of the platform you are using. You are hurting Steem outward perception and you are going against the dictionary definition of what TRENDING is.

Whats that saying? Its time to stop? You take up at least 3-4 trending spots every day.

Your Right @silentscreamer i Agree With You I Hope This people understand this is against steem rules

Its not really against "The Rules". Steem has no rules. Its against the vision of Dan and Ned and it showcases Steemit as a place where low quality content is valued most.
Most people that come here dont know that the trending page is payed for and when they skim our "store window" what they see is average to bad content making them think "this is what Steem is about. "

I will not stop using bots because it is the reality of Steemit and I have the right to use them like other Steemians whose posts are listed in trending tab, but I will consider to use them selectively.

Its a shitty reality you are keeping alive. As i said... there are no rules against it. There are no rules against punching yourself in the nose, but its probably a bad idea to do so. You can ignore what youre doing all you want and continue on. No one really can stop you there.

I respect your opinions and I will consider. But I think you are exaggareting the situation and your attitude and wording is not appropriate.

Just using an analogy to explain my point.
Sure... "There are no rules against poking yourself with a needle, but its probably a bad idea to do so"...
The point is that you are really just hurting yourself when you participate in behavior that hurts the platform. .
