Can anyone see my avatar?
I hate for my first post to be on such a trivial matter, but from here my avatar looks blank. I used the postimage.org option and the link works fine when pasted in the browser and yet I can't see it in the top right corner or next to my comments. A little insight from more experienced Steem member would be greatly appreciated.
The issue is resolved! For future reference, when using Postimage.org, it is necessary to copy the Direct Link (second option). Thanks everyone for upvoting and @wakeupsheeps for your input.

I can't see it. Your avi can't just be a picture, you actually have to convert it into a web address. Try uploading your avi to imgsafe.org and creating a url that you can paste into settings.
Thanks. I did that though, that's what I meant when referring to the postimage.org option, I will try the site you suggested thanks again.
steemit likes to have all addresses begin with https rather than http. That may be the reason your avi isn't showing.
