Steemit Success- How To Achieve It And What That Means
Are We Utilizing Steemit To Its Maximum Potential For Success? Or Are We Just Trying To Make A Buck?
Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts and opinions.
What is Steemit and what does it have the potential to be? Well let me answer that from my point of view. To me Steemit is this amazing platform that I just discovered that has the ability to connect likeminded individuals and even act as a teaching tool for so many. To get the views, explanations and daily updates on a specific topic you are interested in is something someone could get more value out of then going to college. Then there is the ability to earn money with your post which just adds to the value of this platform.
Now how do I become successful and start on the path to becoming a so called whale? Well from what I have seen there are a few ways to do this and properly. The most important thing to do is to post original and high QUALITY content everyday.
I am seeing so many trying to resteem for resteem in hopes of just making that quick $. Problem is people are resteeming things that are lower quality and really nothing to do with their topics or interest on their blog. Now granted you will come across things that you find interesting and will want to share with your followers. That is ok and you should be doing that. What you shouldn't be doing is just resteeming or upvoting something for the fact of that person gave me a upvote.
If you post quality and original content everyday, people will see this and follow you. Your quality content will show up in their feeds and you will receive quality upvotes and resteems. Don't believe what I'm saying? Look at users that have over 1,000 post and yet their reputation score is still in the low 30's. That's because the quality of content they are posting is not receiving upvotes and resteems.
This is not the only rule you need to follow for success, but think about how this community will be! When everyone uses Steemit as a way to learn about new things! I have already met some amazing people and have read some even more amazing post on this platform. If you follow this quality rule, the money will also start pouring in. Lets keep this Steem Movement Steeming Along!!!!
Quality Content Before Money
If you enjoy my post (even though i'm not that good of a writer lol) follow me. If I enjoy your content I will also follow you back.
I agree! Quality content is a whale on steemit. But what is a quality content? A quality post is an article that bring solution to a certain problem, or answering a question, or entertaining the reader, or a research that is based on factual truth, and so on. Ideas are out there waiting to be uncover.
Does it enough to be called quality content? Yes, but for it to become so called quality content, it should be 100% unique and covering at-least 300 words.
You can use some online tools such as http://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/ to check if your content is unique.
Indeed, I agree with you!
You are correct!
agreed as well
Yeah it is really hard to define quality content,
and even more why some good content is upvoted while others is not.
Seems there is not a real logik behind it..
hard to define good content and What will other people like. Sometimes luck is more important.
No not really, when I say good content I mean quality content. Meaning you are knowledgeable about the topic and are not just copy and pasting. Or as @themadgoat just said not posting a meme and nothing else
I have just made one year on Steemit and I agree with you 100%. When I first joined I had no idea of what to expect and just thought I would throw together some content and make some money. It wasn't until I took time to write my posts and add some quality content that people started to engage. This also goes with commenting. I always try to comment with something valuable to the post. One quality post is better then 10 copy and paste crap!
First off congrats on the 1 year :). Yea i see so many with 1000's of crap non meaningful post and they never get anywhere. I feel this platform can really bring people together. Im glad you liked what i wrote. Thanks for the vote

I think it helps to stick to the same theme throughout... if you are a descriptive writer ( like me) its good to stick to that. Same with tutorial based, food reviewer, travel blogger etc. Then you are getting the correct followers who have similar interest to you.
You really gotta stick with it too. Do it for the enjoyment. For me, I love having all my writing in one place. IT has been years since I have done that.plus its on the blockchain, so its there for good. =)
perseverance is key. & writing about something you ACTUALLY care about.
I mean I think writing about your general interest is important but branching out is ok too. We always find new things we come across that we want to share with others. Me I like to stick with things about the entertainment industry, the paranormal and life in general
The paranormal? Cool, that sounds interesting :) I am gonna check, right now! :D
Yea check my blog I posted a haunted hollywood story and will do one a few time a week
super post
Thank you!! Steem on brother
Hahaha... I just had to laugh at your parting style "spock" of "star trek" the most cold blooded being in the universe
Yea you are right though on many levels... "quality over quantity" is the steemit creed
So lets keep keeping it real...
steem on!
Thanks for liking my post lol. Spock wasn't cold but logical. i figured it would be a good ending to a logical post on success on steemit
Yes it is.... Really cool way of ending it
One criteria i've adopted is that if I see people resteem a lot i generally don't follow them
I mean I guess I could go either way. If see them posting good stuff everyday and then resteeming quality content as well, id probably follow them still
yes, some balance
exactly
I'm constantly having to unfollow people who clog up my feed with single pictures or memes they copied and pasted.
I know that struggle already and i'm brand new lol
I'm new-ish to Steemit. Thanks for posting. Please follow if you feel so inclined.
Welcome my friend :)
