Welcome! you can follow ppl on DTube (it automatically also follows the person on steemit). interactions are based on upvoting and commenting. you can also upvote comments. if you get upvotes you get paid after one week but also if you upvote and share (resteem) a popular post the curators get about 25% of the accumulated amount (payout is weekly). hopefully i could give you some more insight because this was also my first week on DTube and steemit! if you didnt already know there is also a "Twitter"-like application( https://busy.org/) that relies on steem but its still in beta. have a great time here!
