Truth about Bioidentical Hormones #Steemit

One of the greatest crimes against modern day women is the vilification of their steroid hormones by a medical mafia which will stop at nothing to pad its bottom line. Hormones are to the body what an orchestra conductor is to an orchestra. They are the chemical messengers that transfer signals and instructions from one set of cells to another, so that the body can stay in the perfect balance known as homeostasis. When all the body's hormones are present at optimal levels, the body is able to function at its finest and ward off disease. When hormones are no longer at optimal levels, degenerative disease is the inevitable result.

Just as the conductor communicates with each player as he conducts, natural hormones influence and regulate every cell, tissue, organ and function of the human body. But the sad fact is that women begin to lose their primary steroid hormones, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone just at the time they are reaching the prime of life. The loss of these important hormones is catastrophic to the body, resulting in hot flashes, night sweats, dysphoric mood, sleep disturbance, lost libido, cardiovascular disease, depression, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle and tendon disintegration, dementia, and frailty.

Big Pharma knows this is the truth. Several decades ago it patented high priced synthetic hormone substitution drugs and told women in glowing terms that taking them would be like finding the fountain of youth. But something went wrong with the plan. In 2002, the Women's Health Initiative Study discovered that these synthetic hormones were causing all kinds of havoc in the body, including breast cancer and blood clots. When this was publicized, women stopped taking the drugs and were left with nothing in their place.

You might think that Big Pharma would then have developed real hormone products made from natural ingredients that would be exact replicas of the hormones the body naturally makes. But natural substances cannot be patented, so there is no way to charge exorbitant prices for them.

What did they do instead? The Women's Health Initiative Study findings had already made women afraid of hormones, so Big Pharma decided to capitalize on that fear by selling hormone blocking drugs. These drugs were to be synthetic and therefore able to be patented and to make a pile of money. Today's escalating incidence of heart attack, osteoporosis, frailty, dementia and Alzheimer's in women is a direct result of the introduction of hormone blocking drugs.

Meanwhile in Europe where medicine was not yet so heavily influenced by Big Pharma, bioidentical hormones had been created from natural components to exactly replicate the hormones naturally made by the human body. They had been used safely for decades.
