LOVING the colourful new STEEMIT.CHAT look! ๐๐ผ But there's still an important feature missing...
After what seems like an eternity of looking at a somewhat underdeveloped steemit.chat interface, finally today it has been upgraded.
And what a difference a day makes ;)
Though I'm quite sure it took a little longer than this to create.
If you're not already on steemit.chat now is the time!

Until Steemit develops this feature, steemit.chat is the best place to converse directly with fellow steemians.
There or on Discord of course. Which seems to be growing in popularity these days.
It is also the best place to post promote!
Which is essential if you are new here.
And even if you are not it will always increase your following.
Assuming you are writing great posts with eye catching thumbnails ;)
The new colours make the site look fresh again to me and I enjoy that very much.
What's the missing feature?
I get many messages on steemit.chat and i don't always have time to respond to them immediately.
The problem I am experiencing is this:
12 people message me and I may have time to quickly read them, but once I click away from their message there is no indication that I am yet to respond! And there are litterally 100s of people in my username tab. So I forget who I was talking to and the message doesn't get written.
...until I stumble upon them by chance 3 months later!
If anyone knows of a solution to this...
I would me most grateful to anyone who knows something I don't about how I might go about fixing this problem.

I usually click on the options next to the person's name and 'hide room' after I am done chatting, so it only has people's names who I am actively chatting with. (You can always add them back when you are ready to chat again.)

Yeah, steemit.chat got colourful but it still needs lot of improvement. The most important factor where it needs instant improvement is - thumbnail pictures, whenever we promote our posts, it doesn't show our post-top picture, which plays majore role in attracting people to post. I hope dev. will come up with this improvement soon.

Have not used it for a while. Mostly using discord at the moment.. I wish it was integrated in steemit.com. It would make things easier.. sorry can't help solving the issue you are having with unanswered messages, I am sure someone would stop by and have an answer. Take Care! :)
I've gone the other way and stopped using discord. Mostly because I run three of the steemit.chat feeds which I acquired back when there was no discord.
Eventually (I hope!) they will find a way to better connect it to Steemit
