What is it and why?
Steemit.com could become one of the most successful social networks to date but it has its issues, just like any other social media site. This is where the cheetah bot comes in.
The @cheetah bot is a bot that automatically detects plagiarism and comments on it. It prevents people from completely ripping off others work and gaining profit from it. The cheetah bot comments on hundreds of articles in the attempt to prevent others from plagiarising.
This bot is extremely helpful in the upcoming of this site and all of its users. So lets all stand together and fight against plagiarism and make Steemit.com the biggest site in the world!! (because who doesnt love steemit)

I am not sure a bot is the best idea. I have cross posted content that I own. How does your bot investigate authorship? I agree that plagiarism is a bad thing but I think it takes some research to prove that it is plagiarism. Some of us have real investments in the things that we have created and I think it is fair to want to market them here.

I would just like to clear up that it is not my bot and i totally agree. It is still new technology but it is more than an excellent thing that people are standing up and fighting for the life of steemit.com !
