RE: Characteristics of successful Steemit post

in #steemit8 years ago

I upvoted this.

then upon seeing that you outright copied & pasted ALL the tags from one of my posts - or had seen the tags from my most recent one and went back to copy them to yours - I removed the upvote and went to downvote.

seems my account doesn't have access to downvote anymore, so it didn't go through.

take note, however: there's no rules about pulling something like this off. but you got busted. and frankly, it's NOT cool. I get the strategy, but you win no originality points, and would have been downvoted for attempting this if my account had the ability.

you have not earned trust by doing this. frankly, I'll have to assume that if you're willing to copy & paste chunks of content like this, the bodies of texts in your posts may not be your own either.

it's nice knowing that I may have inspired you to try. but you have not made a favorable first impression.

Yes, its true, i took some tags from your post, but these tags are like hash tags on twitter to gain visability on similar topics, or is that not the purpose of tags? i'm just trying to use what works to spread useful content to the community.

i use hash tags other people use too, its just about using whats trending or works in making your content more visible to people how would not normally see it but might find it useful.

I get that. but copying & pasting the entire lot of them...?

@rok-sivante why should you get more upvoted just because you used a load of hashtags that somebody else didnt?
Its the content that counts! and i found this to be a good post imho and so did many others by the looks of things
