AN INCLUSIVE AND QUALITY COMMUNICATION

What is sought with this reflection is to keep in mind how through a word or phrase we can offend a person with a disability and even without intention.
The importance of difference is not denied, it is only about highlighting the condition of being-human, which is above being high, low, north or south, with or without disability.

Incorrect

The disabled child fell into a sewer.

Right

Pedro, a 7-year-old boy with a physical disability, fell into a sewer.

Incorrect

The blind woman could not get on the bus

Right

Maria, a person with visual impairment, could not get on the bus; or instead: Maria, a blind person, could not get on the bus.

Incorrect

The girl who is Bobita was punished by her mother.

Right

The girl with a disability was punished by her mother.

Keep in mind that every word or gesture that helps the inclusion of people with disabilities is useful for everyone and for society
