Using a Bitcoin ATM to Withdraw Cash with Money Earned From Steemit ( Video/Pics Included)

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Today I found a BTC ATM so i decided to give it a try, here is a video/picture montage on how it went. The end of the video shows the cash being withdrawn :) Being that most in FL only allow you to buy I had to try this!

the exchange rate was high  $2440.02

So I called the number on the side of the machine and had it adjusted to nothing!!!

In Broward County Florida USA.

If you have any questions let me know! Pretty much all the ATMs like Genesis, Athena, RocketCoin work the same way!

I skipped the part where I converted my Steem Dollars to BTC with Bittrex because a lot of People here have made those videos for reference. BTC-FIAT lol

My local bitcoin ATM is paying like $2800 per bitcoin sold to it.. much premium existing

This vid brought a big smile to my face when I got in the door :) I resteemed it at at the airport, but I couldn't view the vid as the wi-fi was so crappy!! I'm just in the door the noo ... best get this Daily Dose uploaded I did in the car soon ... and the washing done!! LOL! Great to be home again :))

Welcome back 😀 Glad it made you smile

I loved watching it whilst piling my dirty washing into the washing machine! LOL! Thanks for the 2 RS's yest. too!! I really liked that Krakow pic with Magda - I'm really happy that one did well :)

Thanks @ cryptohustlin I appreciate it, you do great work too. Following you as well. :) are you in the chat or discord at all?

Sounds awesome. We are so closer to reach Mars 🤤

awesome video. The nearest bitcoin ATM is in the city, which is about an hour away from my town. I've been wanting to take the train up there. Hopefully soon

lol make sure you can withdraw most are buy only

cool!

Note that the premium will be 15% or more.

that's quite the premium

High $2440.02 but I called the number on the machine and had it adjusted to nothing lol

the hour I waited for the redemption code.

How many % do they take off the transaction? Last I heard, Bitcoin ATMs do take a huge chunk!

yes it's high but I got lucky today because the blockchain took a while to mine my block, so I called the number on the machine and they readjusted it for me. It's normally 5-10% I was told, I got charged 1% today. It also depends on the priority your wallet is set to. But the exchange rate was high $2440.02

I think perhaps you could find a better deal through localbitcoins.com but i guess that's entirely where you're doing this. Thanks for the video showing others how all of this is real :)

Thanks, a lot of people don't even know what Bitcoins is lol, The gas station that had this BTC-ATM didn't even know what it did! I'm sure you know that a lot of people are skeptical of crypto, they just don't get it! Maybe it's better for us! ha but you are right I wanted to show how Steemit is the real deal and bring awareness to the ATM :) Crypto to Fiat!
Thanks for your input @kevinwong

True localbitcoins.com may offer better price for BTC...

why where are you located and have you used localbitcoins.com?

Jeff Berwick knew what he was doing when he started investing in these machines. Wish we had a few in San Diego. I just buy silver with my BTC through JMBullion. That way i don't spend the money right away, and if i do need the cash I can just go down the street to the coin shop and sell my silver. Not the best method if you're needing fiat right away, but like i said we don't have any BC ATMs around here.

Im sure they will be coming there soon

I surely hope so!

I really hope they start putting them in my area soon.

Before you know it they will be everywhere :)
