This might be a stupid question (I'm new) But is there any way we can help the rewards pool increase or is it all out of our hands and whatever happens will happen?
Hi @rebeccagomez always good to see new faces on Steemit and now to answer your question I believe that there is an equilibrium area that the programing has set the pool to maintain and I feel it is the area we are at now .
So yes it all out of our hands and the program will keep it at the area it should be. Remember everyday there is around 45,000 to 50,000 Steem created by steemit automatically by the program and a percentage of that goes into the rewards pool to pay Authors and Curators . So the pool has Steem going into and out of the pool everyday.
