The power of reinvesting, (In yourself). SBD over $11!
A few months back I was talking to a lot of friends on Steemit and trying to explain the power of compound interest coupled with the upcoming growth of Steemit. I knew Steemit was undervalued at 0.85 cents, and also knew Bitcoin was going to break records before the new year.
This is why I continued reinvesting in Steemit, and kept buying at every dip. Today my account value is more than 3x what I initially invested, and my upvote is worth almost $5!
Now, to many Westerners $5 does not seem like a whole lot- But, here in the Philippines there are MANY laborers working for $5 each day!
This is an amazing opportunity we have, along with the platform that will allow us to help each other.
With a catch;
You must stay Steemit Strong! Some days you may not want to log-in or post a blog. A day turns into a week, which turns into a month. Before you realize it, you are way behind in reading- And this creates a feeling of "I missed too much already", which keeps us away longer.
Steemit is a place where we all need to contribute. Read articles on topics you enjoy, interact with fellow Steemians, and spread cheer and good vibes always.
Please,
Do not give up.
Reinvest in yourself,
And give back to the community with thoughtful comments and upvotes.
XOXO,
Gilaine
Excellent post. In the US, $5 is something that is usually taken for granted. Powerful insight!
thank you =)
Your introductory sentence is similar to my situation.
I keep telling folks that Steemit is the future and we are just starting.
That upvote you have of 5$ is whooping ,as you said westerners cannot understand how that is a lot of money....
I withdraw some money last thursday that is roughly the salary of an average worker here in Uganda...The money i withdrew from only two posts (12 and 15...).
Indeed i cannot stop promoting Steemit to my country Uganda,it is what will save Africa from unemployment and poverty(i know its a bold statement..!).
Your comment really touched my heart, only those who have been in the same position can truly understand.
Writing you from Venezuela, it is not a secret we are going through a really tough situation, people all over the world just underestimate the value of one single dollar, and all the unfair work that is required to get them in “real life”, not because the money worth itself, but because that’s translated as food in my country, it means happiness and serenity, it means opportunities to grow and to develop ourselves.
I am new, and haven’t understood a lot of things yet, but I am definitely glad we are all here, doing and giving our best for the community.
Thank you @jaraumoses and @purepinay for being an inspiration.
Sorry all about what's going on in your country. It is good we now have Steemit and crypto that cannot be controlled by any government.
We just need to work hard and spread Steemit to our country people.
You will learn and earn more from Steemit with time feel at home in this awesome community.
@jaraumoses thank you for helping our fellow steemian, @yoyobu with your positive words, I really appreciate your time responding to there message.
Xoxo
Thanks to you @purepinay for making possible this little exchange! :)
Definitely, when one door closes another opens, Thank you so much! Here I am, reading and learning as much as possible to spread the voice :D
Thanks for taking the time to comment back, you have just got a new follower from Uganda..cheers
Sounds like an interesting concept, I come from Latam and live in Switzerland, and in latam 5 USD is not much also because of inflation reasons, as you say, maybe this blockchain techonologies will be a lot of help to transfer and share wealth worldwide.
I love seeing more content from Africa. Recently I have been seeing a lot of CNBC Africa content appear on YouTube and other areas. The internet just keeps getting more international every year.
Yes, @ jaraumoses I tell her and tell her to steemit our chance for a better life
It's the future, masters, to work hand in hand in solidarity, it's just the beginning
Thank you so much @purepinay
Thank you for the encouraging words @faissalchahid
Steem on! 😉
you are welcome. @purepinay
you deseirve more than that
To success 😎😎
thank you @jaraumoses
I can just imagine the life in Uganda, I have watched a lot of documentary films and other read some articles. I hope we all survive from this poverty. It's all in the mind set too, if you think you can achieve anything, you can! it's only a matter of time and will power.
I think I remember you from before. You are very active here, I like what you're doing to your fellow steemians and your country. I understand the work of promoting Steemit, especially explaining the technical stuff or even just the time you spend talking on how to set up a steemit account, it's a nightmare!
I understand some of us here need money for whatever needs, as long you keep some to reinvest in yourself. I hope you continue on doing the good work and helping your fellowmen.
I remember when I was little, so many days we only had camote tops on top of camote tops with rock salt from our neighbor, but I never consider myself or my family as poor. We are all as lucky that we are breathing.
Investing on the other hand will give us a chance to financial freedom. I only hope for the best to all of us here! =)
I understand really we need to work hard to change this planet,we have to show others it's possible however hard it is at the start.
It's getting really busy for me this days as more people have hard about bitcoin over the news and they come to me asking for more info...I have to explain thoroughly to people who do not know anything abt crypto..
Nevertheless I will continue what I started by promoting Steemit to my fellow country people.
Steemit is all about investment: time and talent
@bestgift Steemit makes you discover more about yourself, which is also the amazing part.
Steemit is a great self development place.
thank you all for the positivity! @bestgift @adejoke16 @jaraumoses
<3
Wow I should do it too! you are right! I want to save africa with steem !
WOW, I can't believe that your vote is now worth $5, that is amazing! I know you can help a lot of people there in the Philippines with that. Thanks for all the upvotes you give me, it is much appreciated! The price is going up and up and the price of SBD is crazy! I like that Steem logo on your cheek. lol Keep spreading the word!
Courtesy of Rcarter also. he made sure I added you on autovoter since he is AFK.
And we love your photos, of course! :)
What is AFK? Away from keyboard?
yeah haha
he's busy doing other programs, so am taking over the steemit stuff lol
I've been reinvesting slowly into steem power from day one! Slowly but surely will use my SP to give back to this wonderful community :)
that's good to know, thank you for helping the community!
Keep up the awesome job!
Your article is so inspire me to power up more and more .... thanks for sharing. Nice article..... cute author :)
thanks for inspiring our stemians friends here at the community, i like the words you said @purepinay,
Do not give up.
Reinvest in yourself,
i felt so good right now..thanks for inspiration words.

It's my pleasure, loving steemian. Thank you for your support!
HUGS
haha! where did you get that bear?
I love it, thank you! XOXO
^^ i knew it..^ %
Exactly what i used to tell myself! I am trying to post daily now! Thanks for the encouragement
I made a couple of posts of my own but I do not see any like or anything, how long it takes to people to start seeing your posts? I am quite knowledgeable in investments so I think many people could learn about financial freedom with help that otherwise would cost a lot.
you need to start interacting more with steemians, the more friends you make on Steemit the higher the chance of you getting some upvotes, build a good friendship ^_-
Thanks purepinay I will follow you and then you could be my first official friend :D
good, keep steeming! you have to keep pace. don't stress about the upvote that you get, it'll work it's way up as soon as you build yourself a strong foundation here...
Keep posting interesting blog, it doesn't have to be very long, simple and precise. Not everyone have all the time in world to read an almost 5 pages blog ^_- then you have to know and understand your audience, always communicate with them, it'll help be build your reputation too aside from the upvotes that you will get.
Happy steeming, hope to see you here more often.
XOXO
One more thing today your upvote is worth $5 in terms of Steem valued at $2.26 and SP of 6000+ but, imagine if the price of steem becomes $20 in no time your ur upvote worth will be increased as well. Probably, if I'm not wrong your upvote will be worth at around $40 to $45 per posts.
Kindly correct me if I'm wrong somewhere. I'm not an analyst, nor am I a professional on Cryptocurrencies. I just said out of 4 months' experience on STEEMIT platform.
yeah, I believe steemit is still undervalued and that's why I keep reinvesting and grow my account more
Hiii dear @purepinay, thanks for wishing happy holiday in very lovely style. same to you and i hope you are enjoying much, every steemian excited and enjoyed by rising prices.your passion and excitement for steemit is appreciateable. i love to visit your posts and waiting for your next. good luck specialy you and every steemian.

Well, you got your little giftie ^_- you're one of over 500 on my list now! geezz imagine that list! lol, I have auto-voter and manual upvotes, different list every week, but still keeping the loyal fans happy, haha I am Santa Claus!
