Think about all those many hundred dollar posts, that half of the earnings will go to the 'many' upvoters ... I think there is a case to be made that the abuse would be lessened, not worsened. Besides, our concerns should lie mostly with the bored and totally fucking broke minnows, who earn nothing from posting, and very very little from curation!!
If 50% of @dollarvigilante's income went to the curators, I wouldn't hate that sob so much. :-)
I would prefer to get the money from my own posts then trying to ride the coat tails of someone else.
It's not about the money .. people are so short-sighted. It is about making people's time worth something ... it's about getting people involved and excited, it's about incentivizing support for the economy .. and making it less worthwhile to take the money and run.

i don't know who your referring to as you people but i am not part of any group and do not like the idea of others actions and words coming back to me.
I'm only saying i don't care about trying to make money off of other peoples posts, i would rather make money off my own post and the idea that people get any of the money generated from work i have done (the post) and not under their own work is annoying and imo is just another thing pushing people away.

Look at your curation rewards .. with a 50/50 split they would only be 20% higher, and the voting power limitations would still apply. NO .. the fear-mongering is all bullshit! There would only be slightly more incentive to be active, and slightly less incentive to withdraw.
