Easy Passive Income on Steemit
You can earn easy passive income on Steemit by doing nothing, literally. This is a simple tutorial how to do it!
You have probably heard of curation, where you can earn money by upvoting popular content. Now you can do this automatically, by signing up to a service that will do this.
First of all, grab your private posting key (WARNING IT'S SENSITIVE INFORMATION), anyone who knows this can post and upvote on your behalf, but can't steal the money from your Steemit account. So make sure you agree to this.
Go to your Profile>Wallet>Permissions, and then click on SHOW PRIVATE KEY
, it will show you the private key after the button turns into HIDE PRIVATE KEY
. This key is confidential, so make sure you will only give it to the websites you will sign up to.
1) Sign up to STEEMSTREET
Add your account and private posting key, and that is is. Sign out, and now they will vote on your behalf, earning you curation rewards automatically. You don't have to do anything else on this website, it is automatic.
2) Sign up to STEEMVOTER
After signing up add your account the same way as above, then click on RULES
and start adding there people you want to vote on one by one and click on SAVE RULE
after writing in every name manually. You can basically add every big whale or people who post about content your like, I'll leave it up to you.
Please add me too there, by writing my name in profitgenerator
and then click SAVE RULE
, so that you will upvote my posts too. I am starting to earn bigger curation rewards now, so you will earn profit by automatically upvoting my content.
It usually takes 24 hours to get approved here after you signup, but it's all automatic, you will start earning rewards from here after 24 hours.
Thats it, now you will earn money automatically, you don't have to do anything just watch your curation profit grow, by going to
http://steemwhales.com/YOUR_USERNAME
If you check my curation, I started automating my curation a few days ago, and my curation rewards grew from 640 to 1480, and now averaging about +200 daily.
Your curation profit can be seen here: https://steemit.com/@YOUR_USERNAME/curation-rewards
I've earned about 1 Steem Power in the last 7 days, and it relates to how much STEEM POWER you have, so if you want to earn more curation rewards, make sure you POWER UP by Buying some Steem Power!
profitgenerator has justified his nickname once again :)
Thanks, I have a very good talent for spotting money making methods.
There is also Streemian.com! But I think it still requires invite codes.
Hmm I didn't know of that, I will have to check it out.
Nice. How to get invite code? someone have to invite you to the site?
I can send you one on steemit.chat if you throw me a PM. :)
What is a PM?
DM in steemitchats case. Private message/direct message.
Ok. what is your username on a chat?
Automatic upvoting on posts you haven't read. Right?
This stinks, IMHO. Is the main goal of Steemit to make money, or to support quality material, engagement through posting and comments, building community and discussion? A bot can't tell if something is quality, or if you personally appreciate what someone is posting. Not for me.
I wonder if no compensation at all for upvoting is the way to go to clean up the money game on Steemit. Earn compensation for your posts that get upvoted. But not for your upvoting. People would still upvote - and it would be more authentic and honest.
I just wrote a blog on Steemit about this. If interested - click my name, and check it out. Thank you.
i mostly agree. i do think some bots are better at picking quality than some people.
Earn 200 average SP a day with your current SP? How did it happen?
Its 0.2 SP per day. Curation Rewars show 1000 per 1 Steem.
Yeah, those units of measurements are not that clear.
Can't beat money for nothing!
Yep, it's a solid busines model. I have described this system in my earlier article, and we need more curation guilds like these:
https://steemit.com/steem/@profitgenerator/steem-curation-as-a-business-model
My voting power is at 80%, it is barely being used even with 2 guilds voting on my behalf.
Well, its not for nothing. You are helping by filtering out quality content and giving rewards to authors. :)
True, but now I have set it up I don't have to do anything. I love going through the new posts and coming across gems manually as well anyway.
You can add there the people who you like to vote for, to help filter out low quality content. You can also add famous people there who earn you more curation rewards.
I am still pending on Steemvoter, but am researching a few whales and I have my own personal favorites already too. Is 12 the maximum accounts for automated votes, or is that recommended so you don't overstretch votes?
oh cool, somehow I missed you can actually add rules while account still pending!
I have added over 200 people there, so i think it's unlimited.
The pending thing should approve in 12-24 hours, check back later.
So I took your post as the impetus to start using a bot service. I had been looking at Steem Voter but I guess I was just putting it off. Now I am in , but I wonder with SV and Steem Street, can I still vote for folks or will it try to vote behind me and uncheck my vote? And will they show up as already voted when I scan through articles on my own?
I don't know ,i am not the best person to ask when asking about technicalities with steemit.
Well, I guess I will find out. I don't see Steem Street voting anything yet.
You need to wait until your pending status gets approved, usually 12 hours or so. Then it starts voting and you can see the votes by clicking on the logs button.
OK, so I see that in Steemvoter (quick approval!) and I'm making some rules, and it will be about the same in SteemStreet?
In SteemStreet they choose what you vote on, based on their curation bot's list. But on Steemvoter you can set who you can vote on.Just compile a list who you like to vote on and input them there.
Passive income is my favorite kind of income. It has that word "passive" in it.
Yep I have been automating my curation for about 6 days now, it's not much ,but I dont have to do anything.
And if you get more and more STEEM POWER, you will earn more and more by curation. It has a compounding interest effect.
Looks fantastic but is it really legal and has this been approved by steemit. As long as its cocha why not but need to know first
Yes, all those 2 voting pools have been functioning for a long time, and big whales use it too.
If the community would have not liked it, then they would have been downvoted a long time ago, but so far the SteemVote posts all earn >200$ so it's safe to say that most whales approve of this practice.
Many thanks
And your voting power will sink into the basement :)
If that happens, I guess I will just remove few authors from steemvoter rules list. I am surely going to monitor it for the next couple of days, to see how it plays out.
That's why you follow manual curators who keep it above 80 % at all times. ;)
My voting power rarely goes below 70%, I feel like it's capacity is not fully utilized.
Is there some penalty for rewards if the voting power is too low? Or you get the same reward regardless of your voting power %?
Yes, I know that I am overdoing it. Using SteemTrail and SteemVoter at the same time is quite demanding on the VP level :)
Yeah but is there some penalty for the rewards if the SP gets below certain level or is it the same?
I guess a voting power of 0 is bad, but I have seen a few people having 10% voting power and so.
I think it replenishes after 24 hours.
It does replenish but if you keep eating at it ...
I don't bother, actually. I like to upvote my friends and check the steemvoter logs to read their posts.
But if you are after the curation profits then you should be more careful with your VP. Don't misuse it :)
Whales are after profit, some people vote up content just to make money, but if others dont vote it up then they wont make optimal profits.
So eventually only the good qualiy content will get upvoted with most power. Bots or not, the free market has a very good mechanism to reward high quality stuff.
So if a person is greedy and wants to optimize his curation profit, he will either way have to upvote people who are popular.
in the process of setting this up for the people i really like, great advice. thank you, adding you!: )
Thanks, glad that I could help.
i'm still in discovery mode here really. i'm just seeing how everything works. it's going to take me some time! :)
Yes it will, I am here for 3 months and just now I start to see success coming. Others who joined earlier have earned 40,000$ / post. So the earlier you join Steemit the easier it is to become succesful.
the money is a side part for me. i'm quite interested in making some solid connections here too with people who want to converse you know. social media has just gotten to be a white noise playground.
That is good, I hope a chatbox feature will be added soon. This comment section is not that good for conversations.
