RE: I CAME, I SIFTED AROUND, AND I SAID WTF?

The quality content is walking away (or being chased away, which is causing more to walk away). The illusion is breaking away for more daily as the truth is exposed.

Sort:

I'm sort of morbidly fascinated in trying to work out what on earth the aim here is!

At this point I'm guessing they (the overlords) ultimately want to trash the Steemit part of the platform, and make it just Steem the crypto - leaving an opportunity to drive a bunch of bloggers over to some new platform they will set up - recently I thought maybe Pocketnet, but that seems to be utter crap, or maybe something new based on the scam crypto EOS.

I used to think they were so damn cunning and always a step ahead, but lately I'm thinking they are just totally incompetent...

As I powered down my Steemit accounts I put the Steem into more solid cryptos - Etherium, Bitcoin, Dash, Etherium Classic, and Monero - and now only hold coins on the Exodus wallet which can be shifted about fast.

These days I think Steemit is all a big scam, set up to make $ for the insiders, develop social media bots, and promote crypto scams, but possibly it became a threat to sheeple control because in 2017 the standard of some of the posting was getting very high, so they had to fuck it up - or maybe they really did just fuck it up by mistake - intent or incompetence? - the million $ question

I haven't used the "Steemit" for a while. I use Steem on another platform. I just don't like ads.

What I got three things out of two years of blogging here:

  1. A desire to create something new consistently
  2. A general disappointment in not only Steemit but the entire web
  3. Some Steem in my wallet which I'm debating if I should power down now or later

Now that we've seen what could be - Steemit in late 2016 and 2017 - are we forever doomed to disappointment that the entire internet has failed to not suck?

Based on the information I keep stumbling across here (that is getting downvoted hard), I suspect that it will be a relief to the owners (initial miners/stakeholders) of this chain when it collapses and they can focus on living off of the vast sums that have been traded over the years for Bitcoin and or cash. I imagine they are all sitting on what could be hundreds of millions if not over a billion in Bitcoin from what has been milked from here. Or sell it off cheap as it continues folding (dropping in market cap/valuation) to the next group who may wish to conduct pysch experiments on folks eager to pretend they are part of a decentralized social group willing to pay to be the subject.

Now that is a comment! - if my accounts still had any SP I'd be flinging cents at your feet!
