The Importance of Taking a Deload When Working Out
While many people who are into fitness have their routines and always want to keep pushing themselves, they might be missing one valuable boring thing called a deload.
A deload is as simple as it sounds, you take some of the load off your body and give it a rest.
There are multiple ways to deload and they include:
- not working out at all for a week
- cutting the weight you lift in half but keep the reps the same
- keeping the weight the same and cutting the reps in half.
Deloading can do many things for your body such as giving it time to fully recover and come back not only refreshed but stronger. Deloads can also prevent injuries or give your body that extra bit of time it needs to get over a nagging injury.
With that being said, the next time you go multiple days feeling like you are not 100% then maybe it is time for you to take a deload.
