FORGET THE WHALES FOR A BIT, FOCUS ON MINNOWS

So there is something that has come to my notice, which is the way steemians in a bid to succeed on this platform go about chasing only the whales and forgetting about their fellow minnows and dolphins. Yeah, I know we all want that huge $ upvote. Hell yeah! I want it also. But don't you think that trying to catch a whale is not something that one could do easily. When you focus just on them, you fail to notice the potential whales around you in the form of minnows and dolphins.
Let's see this, it's what I mostly tell people about success on steemit
- socialize
- join communities and
- don't sell of your sbd just yet.
I'll just be taking on the socialize part. So when the minnows now actually decide to socialize, they go about following whales that would definitely not follow back, and also try chatting some up. Remember that you are not the only one that wants a whale friend. So imagine the number of messages they receive daily from unknown steemians. On the other hand, there a minnows who readily follow back those that follow them and are also looking for more friends to socialize with. Getting to socialize with them is quite simple compared with the whales.
Having lots of minnows on your side isn't equivalent to a single whale someone might say. Yeah, it's quite true. But it's a starting point in the absence of the whale. Note that as these minnows grow to dolphins and even whales, so do you also grow.
