INTRODUCTION

History of games can be traced back to the ancient past of human. Games are integration part of human culture and are one of the oldest forms of human being social interaction. In the year 1938, a Dutcuh cultural historian named Johan Huizinga, argued in his book titled “Homo Ludens” that games were a primary condition of the generation of human being cultures. As development is part of human lives, Video games comes into play in the year 1950s according to the historians, when academic computer scientists began designing and deployment of simple games and simulations as part of their research work. And one of the early games was the popular game Spacewar, which was developed by computer scientists. Moreover, Video gaming didn’t gain much popularity until 1970s and 1980s when it reach the mainstream, during this era, Video games and gaming console s using joysticks, buttons and other game controllers coupled with graphics on computer screens home computer games when it was introduced to the general populace.
In 1980, Video gaming has become a popular form of entertainment and part of modern popular culture which now brought about further development of game consoles from the third generation which are 8-bit units in the year 1983-1995. In the recent years between 1987-1999, the fourth generation 16-bit models emerged, and the transition of 3D video games improved handled Games and Personal computer gaming. Furthermore, 2013, the eighth generation of game consoles emerged which includes Nintendo's Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation vita. Therefore making PC game been holding a larger market share in Asia and Europe for decade’s and continues to experience more growth due to the digital distribution. In lieu with this development and rapid growth in popularity of Games, the use of smartphone for mobile gaming has been a driving factor for games as it makes available for people uninterested in gaming and those human that wee unable to afford dedicated game hardware and consoles.

OVERVIEW OF BLOCKCHAIN GAME

In the year 2014, the journey of blockchain gaming started when the release of Huntercoin is made to the general public. It is said to be a live experimental test to see how blockchain technology could handle full game world’s. In this said game, players compete with one another to mine Huntercoin. In July 2015, Ethereum smart contract was released and this page way for decentralized applications on blockchain and different types of games was created. E.g CryptoPunks.
During this period, there are some limitation to blochain game which are: 1. Game asset been built on blockchain. 2. Weak and simple game play, 3. Non attraction of game to players due to the weak game play. This lead to more blockchain development which gave birth to blockchain game 2.0 which has recorded a huge success in game development.

WHY EON/EOT
The global games market (software) revenue reaches 116Billion in 2017 which is bigger that on the world global sport business. However, the increasing market cost brings a wide gap between games and players. The game developers spend 50% and above of their revenue capital on marketing , paying to centralized game distribution platforms like (steam, Google, Apple etc) and advert platform like Facebook. This makes the game industry to be more centralized and only the big companies with big pockets of marking fees attracts peoples attention, while the small scale studios are left with an option of abandoning a game they have created because they don’t have the financial power to attract players. Therefore in order to bring an end to this hurdle, EON Foundation is initiated to promote and support EON platform.
EON is a decentralized digital game distribution platform where gamers can discover, share and play games, as well as social with other gamers though it’s more efficient, trustworthy and global accessible blockchain technology.
