PROJECT SOLAR LAMP & CHARGERS TO AFRICA RECAP ( $75 NEEDED FOR FIRST COLLECTION)

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Last year in the summer, we decided to be on project to make some impact in Africa, Ghana to be precise.
It was about shipping solar lamp and chargers from US to Ghana as some of us Africans who go on internship in rural areas where there is the lack of electricity go through difficulties in posting and other necessities which require lamp or charging.

On this note, @ackza brought up the initiative and made a post to request for funds to kick start the project and as usual steemit doesn't disappoint so he was able to raise the funds for the solar lamps and charges.

Those in support were @ackza, @stellabelle, myself and @tj4real. so the lamps were bought on ebay after a week of fund raising to the US and then to Ghana. And due some challenges of leaving for school and other personal contingencies, the lamp didn't arrive on time and that time, I was in school, which is miles away from the main post office, thus different regions.

This is recap to resurrect the initiative we started and I know steemit won't disappoint today or tomorrow.

So now as I speak, the project we started isn't dead and we are going to hit on it stronger than probably before the ugly days.

Two days ago, I went for the receipt for the collection since its vacation and it cost $75 dollars for the lamps.

We plan of distributing these lamps to help people post on steemit no matter where we find ourselves since its power falls on solar and make things easier to some of us in the temperate zones.

I believe by the time we distribute about 1000 lamps, 1000 people would have been introduced to this platform and more lives will be changed.

I plead for support to pay for these lamps and those to arrive now that all obstacles have been cleared.
