Had been watching the 'first contact' movie a while back. Long enough to watch it again. :-) That episode where Tasha'Yar her part ended is far from my fresh memory. Wasn't that about the time Worf came into the series? Think I want the series on DVD, to refresh my memories. (Got stuck at DVD, never got inspired to go for BD).
Sometimes actors want out before end of contract. And just when they had become part of 'the crew' for us who watch and enjoy it like that, not always for the best. But this is such a strong series, it could handle it and still draw the Trekkies back in, keeping them hooked for life, hahaha.
Just had a memory of 'Coupling', dunno if you know that comedy series, but when 'Jeff' left, the new added dude was fun too, but not 'Jeff' like fun. Man I had moments when I hurt my stomache laughing so hard with that 'Jeff' guy...
I don't know the series but man I do hate that when an actor decidedes its time to go and they replace them. If it works cool but sometimes the choices of replacement are just so dang awful or they dont capture the essence of the original one!
haha came for the price prediction, stayed for the Star Trek talk. TNG for life! Tasha's death was so quick and random it was almost comical. I always half-expected her to come back...
My kind of cuppa tea. Even though I mostly drink coffee.
Yes, sometimes things on Steem can take a surprising turn, hahaha. Indeed, ST-TNG best ever! Did she not come back in an episode once about different timelines? Where she lived on. Really need the series on DVD before autumn kicks in...
Ohhh man, I've made it to where her sister shows up but started the series a couple years ago and have been pacing myself on the last few seasons so I don't use up the precious resource that is Picard and the NCC-1701-D!
Isn't that funny, I was just thinking the exact same thing...perhaps a marathon. Start with the original television show and end with the most recent movie. It would take a while, especially if you include the Next Gen and the others as well. :D
True spacing them out a bit, like a couple episodes a night or a bunch on weekends, whichever suits you best, type of idea, would be be much more conducive to still having a regular life.
Much better to do that way than in the way from that Hotels.com ad with Captain Obvious and the couple that binge watch 10 seasons of a show in one sitting. They never left the house or the couch for anything but beverages, food or bathroom breaks and never even knew C.O. was there or for how long. That would be bad. :D LOL. :D
Yes Commander!!
Hm, all of a sudden I want to watch some classic Star Trek Next Gen...
=D
You know its been years! I wouldn't mind myself. I don't know why But Tasha'Yar just popped into my head and how sad her ending was!

I think it was roundabout then, it marked such a change for it all. GReat show man! DVD is good enough!

Exactly, that was the case with Jeff in 'coupling'. If you like a good laugh, then that one is worth watching. (It's a BBC comedy series.)
Tea, earl grey, hot.

It is indeed! Would be great to re-watch. Maybe more spread out over time, so it fits well in the day to day agenda. :-)

Yes, and preferable maybe starting autumn and moving through winter.
That example of going non-stop would be bad, could not even imagine doing that! Very awefull idea. =D
Me either, I think my body would seize up if I tried. :D LOL. :D
Indeed, that is a bad unhealthy part of it. ;-)
