Wow, thumbs up for your article. +1 to that point 4 alone... It is so easy to forget this etiquette. I have been a culprit on this on quite a few occasions. I am learning!
In a way steemit is like going back to college and all these sub-communities are the various departments (I am talking about dance club, music club etc, not actual courses :D) we can dip ourselves into. I think being really engaged in them will give a much better steemit experience as a whole.

The same goes for me with most of the points, I'm sorry to say.
No one is perfect, but we live and we learn.
The main thing is to help each other along the way.
BTW, I really liked your analogi of college sub-communities :)
