I stumbled upon the TokenMarkets application while reading Mastering Bitcoin on page 284 in the section titled Counterparty, which describes the protocol layer with having the ability "to create and trade virtual assets and tokens in order to express digital ownership and to rent, access, trade, or shop for content, products, and services" in the digital atmosphere.

TokenMarkets Features and Advantages over Competitor Ebay

• TokenMarkets charges $0.33 per normal item listing, $0.40 for downloadable purchases, and $0.80 for token deliveries in the form of action credits; when you create your account you receive 250 free action credits and addition credits cost $0.01 / credit.

• Without a membership through Ebay, users of the platform pay as much as 15% on all final sales prices to the company and on the low end around 4%-7%. In TokenMarkets to accept USD via credit card, only a %1.5 fee is applied to the purchasing price.

Premium Account Features

If you look to the right, it can be seen with the $7 premium plan, 600 credits are granted to the user. Assuming you are only selling a tangible product that cost $0.33 at the point of sale, plus the 1.5% fee if payment with a credit card is used. If payment is received in Bitcoin or another accepted cryptocurrency, that $7 would get you roughly 18 listings per month being as there is no processing fee for the crypto.

With ebay limiting so many marketing features and control over YOUR information and the way YOU INTERACT with YOUR CUSTOMER, it is a blessing that their is finally a completely open-source marketplace.

In this Steemit Post, I went over the introduction of a new marketplace backed by Blockchain Technology that allows the seller to control everything from the way they advertise their product too the price and discounts that you can offer . With powerful tools being offered by Social Media Titans such as Facebook Pixel, you can record, analyze, and use your lead generation data to find a better targeting strategy. None of which Ebay has integrated. The reduction in fees alone from this switch in platforms is enough to save big bucks over the lifetime of your business.
