HOW TO SUCCEED FASTER THAN OTHERS AS A NEWBIE ON STEEMIT COMMUNITY.
HOW TO SUCCEED FASTER THAN OTHERS AS A NEWBIE ON STEEMIT COMMUNITY.
Before I begin, I want to take some time and welcome all the newbies in the community both old and fresh newcomers: this also include my humble self as well, am roughly two month + in the community. So to all of us still new around here, a very warm welcome to us.
As a newbie, there are steps you’ll need to follow if at all you want to succeed on this platform. Some of us (the older ones) miss these steps; probably because we weren’t properly informed or were misinformed. Hence, we had to take a long road and struggle for a long while to build an audience here on the platform and be known.
HERE ARE FEW STEPS NEEDED FOR YOUR SUCCESS STORY ON STEEMIT
CAREFULLY READ YOUR TO-DO LIST: If you ask me, I’ll say: read it religiously with understanding. Some people consider this as a waste of time and operate steemit base on hearsay. I guarantee you that it isn’t a waste of time. Remember the saying “No Knowledge is a waste”.
FOLLOW INTERESTING PEOPLE: In this platform, you need people to succeed and succeed fast. I would have said “learn how things are done here” but then, how will you learn when you haven’t been taught, and how will you be taught on steemit if you don’t follow like-minded people?. Hence, before you start blogging on steemit, spent time to read other meaningful posts, upvote if you like them, resteem if possible and above all don’t fail to follow. All this doesn’t cost you anything. Follow as many like-minded people as possible, there might actually follow you back as well. Before commenting, endeavour to read carefully the post to your best understanding. Avoid bringing comment that are unrelated to someone post, you might be flag. Reduce controversial opinion to the minimum; people might not really like it. NOTE: the more followers you have, the popular you become. All you post appears on your followers feeds, that’s how they read, upvote and resteem you post to their followers too if it appealing to them.
GIVE A MIND-BLOWING INTRODUCTION OF YOURSELF: Your introductory post is supposed to be your first blog, although some people usually postpone it for later, when they are a little bit matured in the community with a reasonable number of followers. Whichever way you want to do it; take your time to read other introductory post with high success level and endeavour to follow the same pattern or better than that. YOU’LL ONLY GET TO DO THIS ONCE, SO MAKE IT COUNT. Avoid few lines of introductory post where you tell us your name, where you hail from and the location of your house in your village or state. In my opinion, I’ll say collate all your likeness, career, ambition and every other thing that will enable us know you into one post known as “INTRODUCTION POST”
BE CONSISTENT ON THE PLATFORM: Don’t shrink back after your introductory post because there is still much work to be done. Try as much as possible to post at least once a day and comment freely. This will also boast your followers on the platform and increase your popularity/influence.
BE ACTIVITY ORIENTED: There are lots of activities on steemit (daily challenge, weekly challenge, monthly contest etc.) avail yourself in any of this. You might not be crown winner at first, but you should not forget step #4 CONSISTENCY.
Steemit operate on the frequency of a very simple rule that state:
“Before you earn you must learn”.

Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya :)
Am glad i could be of help. Thanks for your comments.
Being active in both posting and providing genuine comments on posts that you enjoy are excellent ways to succeed on Steemit.
This is good advice. Another point is to avoid leaving short and empty comments on people’s posts (such as “nice post”) and to make sure that the content you post is created by you and of a high standard of quality.
Posting single images with little text won’t help you succeed. Steemit users look for good quality posts that take time to prepare.
The main thing is to post about what you are passionate about. This will also help you maintain a high consistency in both the frequency and quality of the material that you post.
Nice one @mazzle. I totally agree with you. Thanks for stopping by.
Not a problem. It's nice to see someone posting helpful advice like this.
